Client Finance Manager

Essence is seeking a seasoned Client Finance Manager to join our growing Global Client Finance team.

Reporting into the Client Finance Director, this position is a key member of the Google Global Finance team managing all client finance related client deliverables, month-end reporting, and quarterly forecasting processes. 

This role requires someone who thinks big, thrives under ambiguity, and has a strong sense of ownership. The role requires excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to be a trusted partner with our finance and client services teams at all levels.  This role has daily interaction with leaders within Essence in North America and Globally. Some of the things we’d like you to do:

• Work within a highly collaborative and fast-paced environment to provide financial rigor. 
• Lead with Client Finance Director the monthly and quarterly client deliverables across all global regions for MFG (Media Futures Group).
• Own top line forecasting globally across MFG in collaboration with global FP&A.
• Support data needed for client and executive team global fin/ops dashboards.
• Design financial models to track time, resources and revenue globally.
• Work closely with the Global Media/Ops teams to ensure data integrity across financial systems and tools.
• Provide support to the Client Finance Director with overseeing global implementation of agency integration , onboarding new markets, meeting agency deliverables, etc.
• Develop deep understanding of the client contractual terms and assist Client Finance director in ensuring compliance of global markets.
• Provide regular and Ad Hoc reporting/analysis to Client Services teams, Client Finance teams, and Global Finance teams. 
• Support Client Finance Director to field ad-hoc requests by Executive Leadership and Senior Client Services team related to the Global Google Finance function.

A bit about yourself:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
• 5+ years experience, with at least 2 years global experience in Advertising and Media 
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP accounting principles and their practical application.
• Strong analytical orientation. Skills in financial analysis, including review of financial statements and analysis of key business metrics
• Prior experience in the use of financial and accounting systems
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to interact professionally with all levels of the organization
• Ability to work independently and simultaneously balance multiple projects and processes
• Functions well under pressure; consistently pays attention to accuracy and quality of work.
• Experience with Google Product Suite software applications preferred 
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; demonstrated skill with Microsoft Excel performing complex data analysis including Pivot Tables and Macros.
• Experience working within a matrix environment supporting multiple business partners.
• Demonstrated ability to build strong working relationships and be inclusive of ideas.
• Takes initiative to add value beyond initial requests by anticipating future questions/follow-up requests and proactively resolving them.
