Client Growth Strategist
Job Description
LOCATION:
The Client Growth Strategist position is a remote, work from home position, as are all positions at Acceleration Partners (a structure central to our culture and our vision to change the work/life paradigm). Candidates who live in the following States will be considered:Â CT, IL, MA, NH, NJ, PA, RI, VA, FL, GA, MN, OR, TX, AZ, ME, NC, OH, SC, TN. Some travel is required for client meetings or other internal meetings, conferences, etc.
THE ROLE:
The Client Growth Strategist is a revenue driving role that will sit within the Client Growth team, which is part of the sales organization, and will be responsible for client upsells, expansions and strategic growth initiatives. This role will be directly responsible for driving revenue while collaborating and acting as a liaison between Client Services and Sales teams.
The primary function of this role will be to build and maintain strategic relationships with our internal teams and our AP client base, to identify where there are opportunities to expand our current scope of work, upsell and cross-sell products and services, and global expansions. Additionally, this role will be accountable for working closely with our analyst teams to build out data driven proposals and forecasts that align with the client’s needs. Secondary functions of this role may include attending industry events and working with internal teams to see opportunities through to completion.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successfully identifying and creating expansion opportunities within influencer and performance partnership programs. This person will have a curious mind and be an effective questioner to bring valuable recommendations to AP’s clients, leaving no stone unturned. The ideal candidate will have a history of owning it, being a self-starter that can confidently tackle any challenge thrown their way. This person will have the ability to effectively prioritize and manage up to 50 client proposals and forecasts at the same time. Lastly, this person will have the ability to appropriately communicate with internal stakeholders and to effectively push back when and where warranted.
TOP 5 JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Opportunity Generation – identify and create new opportunities within AP’s current account portfolio to expand, upsell or cross-sell new service offerings.
- Revenue Generation – maintain quarterly quota via closing expansion, upsell and cross-sell opportunities.
- Subject Matter Expert – quickly learn and stay on the cutting edge of the influencer and partner marketing space.
- Program Strategy – understand influencer and partner marketing program strategy, know what questions to ask and ensure that we are providing high growth strategies and recommendations to support growth initiatives that are of value to our clients.
- Sales Administration – continuously work to develop and fine tune operational processes to track and document upsells, expansions and growth initiatives.
WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE:
By 3 Months… you will have a basic understanding of AP’s business and will be able to effectively identify high value growth opportunities, gather data driven insights, build forecasts, design proposals, and negotiate terms to completion, in collaboration with account team and growth leadership members.  Â
By 6 Months… you will have a deep understanding of AP’s business, will be meeting or exceeding the top 5 job responsibilities of this role, and providing guidance to account teams and senior leadership around growth opportunities.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:
- 5+ years of experience in performance marketing
- 2-4 years of sales or business development or equivalent experience
- Proficient user of Excel
- Experience with building accurate forecasts
- Knowledge of affiliate networks (Impact, ShareASale, etc.) a plus
- Superior communication and organization skills
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite
- Bachelor’s degree or relevant work experience required
