We show the world what people want.

Join GfK and help us shape tomorrow. As an NIQ company, we are the world's leading consumer intelligence firm, delivering the Full View™ on consumer behavior. We work to enable manufacturers and retailers better understand what consumers really want. Our name has inspired trust for over 89 years because we take pride in discovering new pathways to sustainable growth for our clients, our people, and our planet.

We are always looking for open-minded people who will grow with us, push boundaries, and pioneer disruptive methods in market research, data science, technology, and AI. If you share this passion to drive things forward and the integrity to insist on doing things the right way, we'll equip you to take your future into your own hands and play a leading role in our story.

Job Description

An exciting and unique opportunity has risen within GfK/NIQ for a fresh minded and motivated Client Manager, focussing on a wide selection of Audio clients. Along with offering a dynamic and agile working environment, GfK/NIQ is a global market research agency with a reach spanning 100 countries, providing many opportunities for further career development.

GfK/NIQ is the world's leading market researcher for tracking Point-of-Sale (PoS) data in technical consumer goods and entertainment media markets. We receive data from retailers and resellers in more than 80 countries worldwide. The GfK/NIQ data platforms compile this data and provides retailers, manufacturers and industry bodies with comparable information at both country and international levels.

You will be working within an experienced team of fellow Consumer Electronics and Photo enthusiasts helping to manage GfK/NIQ’s Audio clients. Utilising your passion for "all things sound", data, and data visualisation, you will be responsible for managing a number of local accounts as well as assisting with some of the regional work required for larger clients. You will use GfK/NIQ‘s data to provide client stakeholders with key market insights. You will also assist in maximizing our PoS data usage on the client side and thus drive new business development opportunities for GfK (to be clear, this role has no element of sales attached to it, only assisting with general upselling opportunities). This is an exciting opportunity to work with a wide variety of household names, and develop your skills both as a product expert and a client account manager.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

You will be working alongside other Client Consultants servicing our Clients‘ teams, responsible for providing them with the following:

  • Help develop and constantly improve robust and intuitive market research reports finding new ways to demonstrate the trends behind our data;

  • Managing (after handover/training) a range of Audio clients with regular presentations, query management, data checks and other related tasks;

  • Respond to data queries in a professional manner and provide timely feedback within agreed service levels;

  • Use defined processes to complete quality checks on data, and investigate anomalies;

  • Provide and assist with client training sessions on GfK/NIQ’s various data extracting systems (e.g. GSE PE, DFO, Newron etc) and dashboards, as well as PoS methodological questions;

  • Work alongside different client departments to investigate data queries, understand their data needs, and provide feedback;

  • Work closely with the other Client Mangers in your team, and assist with Sales Managers to ensure client satisfaction remains high;

  • Recording and logging of issues raised by the client within SalesForce;

  • Other ad hoc tasks may be assigned to you and you may also be required to assist other Client Managers.

Experience, skills and competencies

  • Experience in providing an outstanding customer experience, preferably in a service or technology related industry;

  • Experience using XLS and PPT with an emphasis on data visualisation - being able to bring out the stories hidden within our data and able to communicate these trends to a wider audience;

  • Knowledge of PoS data tracking, scope of service, methodologies and tools;

  • Excellent analytical skills with regards to PoS Tracking data;

  • Expertise in data reporting tools, as well as a willingness to develop new skillsets with other tools;

  • Face to face (and virtual) presentations are a key element of this role – you will have experience in delivering insight in person to a range of stakeholders.

  • Awareness of wider GfK/NIQ products and services;

  • Clear and concise communication, both verbally and in writing;

  • Fluency in English is a must (both spoken and written);

  • Excellent attention to detail and an analytical approach;

  • Excellent listening skills to understand needs of client stakeholders;

  • An organised and methodological approach to tasks with ability to prioritize and multi-task;

  • The ability to work under pressure with spontaneously tight deadlines;

  • Comfortable working independently after handover from previous manager;

  • Experience in working within a multi-cultural environment.

Desirable, but not essential

  • Knowledge of the Audio industry would be an advantage for this role. We believe if you have a passion for the products themselves, this will add value to your work

  • General Interest in technology and new product development/innovation

  • Note: your clients may be located anywhere in Great Britain. You will need to be able to travel to their offices either by car or public transport
