The Role
The Manager of Client Operations will be responsible for leading several sales enablement efforts across the pillars of performance, production, and communications.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership

- Working on business operations projects that may be assigned on an ad hoc basis, and may assist other corporate initiatives as necessary, directed, assigned, or requested
Pursuit
- Manage, mentor, and develop a team focused on deliverable production, with an emphasis on creating a culture that serves the organization with flexibility and collaboration
- Assist team with document and deliverable production during peak volumes
- Enhance operational processes that improve business operations, client experience, and operational efficiency, including leading collaborative efforts with pursuit stakeholders across Nordic's family of brands
- Analyze data and leverage insights to identify operational improvement opportunities, leading the implementation and documentation of process recommendations, and tracking success
- Assess proposal/RFX documentation, response timeframe, opportunity maturity, resources, solution fit, past performance, and other proposal elements to determine the appropriate proposal resources, process, and schedule to meet customer and internal proposal requirements
- Establish, Manage, and communicate the day-to-day pursuit development process
- Facilitate the use of various proposal tools, work products, and techniques to direct the pursuit team to complete proposals that fully execute win strategies
- Decompose proposal/RFX requirements into proposal outline annotated with win strategy, themes, discriminators, source content, graphic concepts, and other writer guidance. Write and edit proposal content as needed. Facilitate/lead pursuit phases, activities, and milestones including kickoffs, strategy sessions, data calls, storyboarding, and reviews. Coordinate and coach pursuit team members to meet their assigned tasks.
- Conduct detailed white glove reviews of proposal content, graphics, and formatting to prepare for production and delivery, ensuring adherence to proposal evaluation factors, comprehensiveness, and branding
- Manage and maintain RFP content libraries, internal toolkit documents, and base proposal templates
- Develop onboarding programs, prepare learning materials, and lead training courses for employees across the organization as needed for sales pursuits and proposal processes
Skills and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, advertising or related field
- 5 years of experience in proposal management, preferably with both healthcare and IT and with public sector and B2B proposals/RFP responses, oral presentations, and vendor questionnaires.
- Experienced with complex, multi-service-line proposals and large (>$10m) proposals.
- Experience with managing and developing sales lead generation plans
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to balance urgent, short-term needs with strategic, long-term priorities
- Strong organizational skills, with attention to details
- Proficient with Microsoft Office. Ability to work independently as well as within a team environment
- Strong analytical skills and ability to use data to optimize performance and inform future strategies
- Ability to work well under pressure and within time constraints
- Must demonstrate and embody Nordic's maxims
Additional Details
- Position open to remote or located in the Greater Madison, WI area
- Willingness to travel up to 10% of the time
- Must be accessible and available to perform work-related functions at any time, including nights and weekends, as needed
