About the Client Partnerships Team

The Client Partnership team leads the strategic and relationship side of our influencer marketing services organization throughout the lifecycle of an account at Collectively–ensuring our partnership with clients is innovative, successful and in support of our client’s creator marketing ambitions.

This team is focused on cultivating and growing successful relationships with account stakeholders in our client community through best-in-class work and services–delivering strategic influencer marketing proposals/RFPs, industry-leading thought partnership and ongoing strategic direction throughout the lifecycle of our agency/client partnership to support brands in becoming more effective, innovative creator-centric marketers.

About the Role

The Client Partnerships (Business Development) role is responsible for fielding and responding to new client leads to secure and develop revenue opportunities for the company. Day to day, this role leads the development of new client relationships, securing first-time brand partner revenue programs through capabilities education and orchestration of innovative and strategic influencer marketing programs and services. Working across a variety of account types, this role is responsible for maintaining an elevated quality of work and premium client experience. This role reports directly to the Director of Business Development with oversight from the Vice President of Business Development.

Responsibilities:

Revenue Development

  • Establish relationships with new clients to secure RFPs and new program opportunities, as well as re-engage lapsed lead and client relationships for revenue development.
  • Field and respond to client briefs or RFPs with creative programs that leverage the Collectively offering; for certain accounts, this may be done in collaboration with a founder or executive.
  • Delegate support as needed for deliverables and administrative tasks related to client and proposal management to colleagues, including, for example, Salesforce data maintenance, proposal support and/or scheduling support.
  • Show ongoing initiative and follow through on proposals to secure revenue opportunities.
  • Proactively identify opportunities for client re-engagement or in-market activity.
  • Support Director or Vice President in preparing for and facilitating in-market capabilities presentations and in-person client meetings.
  • Create excitement and buzz for Collectively's service offerings and capabilities with new clients and lapsed contacts by educating and re-engaging new and existing people within the client account teams.
  • Present and walk prospective clients through proposals with confidence and a clear understanding of the Collectively difference.
  • Work in partnership with cross-functional teammates to inform best program and campaign strategies to pitch to clients.

RFP/Proposal Development

  • Lead the approach to proposal development or response to briefs at Collectively, including:
    • Digest and understand clients RFPs/ briefs
    • Synthesize or draw on key trends and information from a variety of sources, including internal data, to inform conversations and RFP/Brief responses
    • Project manage responses cross-functionally start to finish
    • Ideate RFP response with Business Development leadership including:
      • helping to brief and guide creative concepts in partnership with the creative team
      • Developing influencer campaign and creator strategies based on RFP/Brief goals
      • Curating a range of influencer campaign or services from Collectively
      • Presenting agency partnership approach
    • Estimates and recommends budgets against plans/RFPs
    • Works with Operations to finalize scopes and staff plans
    • Project manages specialized creative or analytical support for RFPs/Briefs as needed
    • Leads the timeline of the response and coordinates pitch strategy with key leadership stakeholders
    • Leads briefings and preps meetings with clients (agendas, cross-functional questions, follow ups)
    • Leads client comms

Client Services

  • Serve as day-to-day and lead point of contact for assigned Business Development RFPs
  • Lead both internal and client meetings necessary to secure, pitch, and win new revenue opportunities
  • Accountability for all client deliverables in the proposal development and
  • production/account hand-off phase, reviewing and collaborating with junior and senior staff prior to client delivery as needed
  • Direct cross-functional contributors to your assigned RFPs or work, delegating and reviewing project tasks and deliverables for quality and accuracy.
  • Remain informed and provide feedback with the client's interest in mind during the pre-sales phase of an RFP. This includes proactively flagging and effectively communicating cross-functionally around potential issues (budgeting, proposal fidelity, client feedback throughout the course of a project) and demonstrating proactive resolution or thought partnership should they occur
  • Effectively communicate and involve key cross-functional stakeholders in proposal development
  • Provide insights for Account Team to successful secure repeat revenue after first program completion
  • Manage and complete SOW and invoicing deliverables in partnership with Business Affairs and Accounting

Requirements

  • 3-4 years relevant experience in marketing, PR, or advertising industry
  • Knowledge of and passion for the social media and influencer landscape
  • Excellent professional communication skills-both written and verbal
  • Demonstrated experience in managing between junior-level staff
  • Excellent initiative and proactive follow-through with all colleagues from interns to executive leadership team
  • Positive attitude and enthusiasm for making great work happen

  • Confidence and grace under pressure, capable of processing and synthesizing challenging client reactions or requests to support team-led solutions, is comfortable jumping into ad hoc requests and leveraging resources or cross-functional teamwork to solve problems on the fly-a true team player.

Pay

The pay range for this position is $75,000 to $90,000. Collectively takes into consideration a wide range of factors that are utilized in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, qualifications and education, and other business and organizational needs.
