Job Overview
As a Client Portal Engineer with a strong affinity for frontend, your role will be instrumental in shaping and streamlining solutions for our clients who regularly utilize the ABN AMRO Clearing Client Portal. This portal is built using Angular for the frontend application and NodeJS for our Application Programming Interface (API). Through your innovative solutions, clients will gain valuable insights into their data, enabling them to conduct their day-to-day business more efficiently.
You will be representing Global Client Portal team from our Chicago office, which will give you the opportunity to work closely with our local stakeholders to create the best possible solutions. You will work in an agile setting with team members based in Amsterdam and Sydney.
Job Responsibilities
- You will be a part of the development lifecycle of the application and the CI/CD pipeline that brings it to life
- Work closely with Business Developers to turn client requests into working applications
- Utilize API's and Python to load and distribute data to the Client Portal
- Create API's with Node and Nest
- Collaborate with IT teams and individuals across the globe on various initiative, projects and tasks
- Contribute to continuous improvement of TypeScript/Angular technology via code reviews
- Assist your Product Owner in Quarterly Business Review process by goalsetting and planning
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent degree/experience
- 5+ years of building and maintaining user interfaces
- Strong knowledge of Angular, NodeJS, Express NestJS, PostgreSQL, and Typescript
- Proficiency with Python and Flask
- Knowledge of OpenShift, Jenkins and CI/CD pipelines
- Communications skills
- Ability and experience working cross-functionally with senior management/stakeholders
