Client Relationship Specialist
Job Description
Baird Equity Asset Management is seeking a high-performing, detail-oriented individual to join and support our sales and client service team. Our equity strategies are managed by deeply experienced investment teams with proven track records within specialized areas of the market, including Mid Cap Growth, Small/Mid Cap Growth, Small Cap Core, International Growth, and Global Growth. We currently manage over 8 billion in assets and expect to experience rapid growth given the stability of our teams and the strength of our performance.
The Client Relations Specialist role is dedicated to helping drive asset growth and deepen client relationships in the intermediary channel. The intermediary channel is a key component of Baird Equity Asset Management's distribution strategy and includes RIA's, family offices, banks, and broker/dealers. In this role, the ideal candidate will be able to support our two intermediary sales professionals with a do-what-it-takes, entrepreneurial attitude to learn our products and underlying processes in detail and to proactively take on all duties with enthusiasm. This person understands the importance of superior client service and is interested in building a career at Baird Equity Asset Management.
As a Client Relations Specialist, you will:
- Support Baird Equity Asset Management's sales professionals in their efforts to drive asset growth in their respective territories.
- Help research, discover, and pre-qualify potential prospects.
- Provide support to our external sales professionals while they are traveling to enable them to respond to client/prospect requests in a timely fashion.
- Cultivate strong relationships with business partners across the firm, including marketing, trading, and investment teams.
- Respond to all client requests with urgency and attention to detail.
- Organize and complete RFP's for each new opportunity.
- Provide support to our marketing initiatives and other projects designed to help build our sales and marketing programs.
- Learn our investment strategies in detail. Value-added support and ability to develop strong relationships is expected.
- Routinely update marketing materials, including presentation books, factsheets, and market commentary.
- Manage and utilize software and systems proficiently to produce deadline sensitive and accurate correspondence, proposals, presentations, and reports.
- Familiarity with Morningstar Direct, Broadaridge, eVestment, Lipper, FactSet, and Salesforce are all a plus.

- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Bachelor's degree and experience in supporting sales and client service - preferably in financial services.
- Interest and ability to conduct data analytics and market research to help target our sales efforts.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point) and the ability to quickly master internal systems and CRMs such as Salesforce, InvestCloud, Morningstar Direct.
- If not licensed, must earn SIE, Series 7, & 66 within 6-months of hire.
