How you will fulfill your potential

As the Client Services Hands on Application Development Lead, you will lead software development streams within the Client Services - Shareholder Services development scope of projects. Be a part of the product roadmap that will enhance the overall client experience and empower the Goldman Sachs Asset Management investors as well as the investor servicing teams. Your extensive impact will include client onboarding (high touch through process driven workflow and low touch through digital solution), subscriptions/redemption order capture, client service and case management, client and fund report generation and distribution, and client books and records. Given the criticality of client service to our overall offering, this individual will be involved in a large number of strategic initiatives critical to the division's success. In short, this is an opportunity to be involved in setting a new vision for the department.

Skills and Experience we are looking for

• Master's or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related Engineering Field
• 6+ years combined experience in an Engineering Capacity
• Experience enabling high quality software product development by 3+ engineers
• Ability to contribute to defining and documenting system design as well as designing API-first architecture to enable a digital client experience.
• Experienced with planning around risk management and risk reduction through modernization of current state platforms.
• Ensure systems can scale to handle increasing business volumes, optimize performance and throughput. Good understanding of distributed system
• 5+ years of Java development and other programming languages with experience in Object Oriented Analysis, Design and testing best practices
• Knowledge in one or more SQL dialects
• Experience working with Data architecture and APIs
• Must have a client and product mindset with experience collaborating with product and/or business managers to propose products and their associate features. Lead operational readiness reviews.
• Experience in delivering high quality technical solutions to multiple global stakeholders in a fast paced environment and managing junior developers
• Effectively partner with other business and engineering teams to ensure we meet our goals for system integration, application deployment, feed management and reporting
• Experience with all stages of the development lifecycle: inception, analysis, design, review, testing, and deployment
• Experience building and sustaining long-term relationships with clients and colleagues in a diverse global organization
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience working directly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Strong resource and project management skills
