Your Role and Responsibilities

IBM is dedicated to transformation and fueling innovation and growth across the enterprise, particularly by leveraging our own technology as 'Client Zero'. The Chief Sustainability Office (CSO) is Client Zero for several of IBM's technology, with the potential for more. The Client Zero and Product Management lead will work across the enterprise, identifying and driving how we can achieve the CSO mission with IBM technology, and engaging with the relevant product and service teams to embed requirements towards desired outcomes. They will ensure that the CSO is a growth enabler for business and unleash productivity at the intersection of technology and sustainability. They are responsible for:

  • Identifying relevant client zero initiatives/use cases and matching with the appropriate IBM technologies
  • Collaborating closely with product teams to refine requirements, prioritize needs, and achieve desired outcomes
  • Identifying the right metrics for success and measurable data to prove the outcomes
  • Communicating the use case(s) and metrics with broader audience - both internal and external - and leverage for business development
  • Continuously refining the use case and additional needs / gaps

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Software product management and implementation; Experience and technical skills using various databases, IT apps, automation and AI
  • Strategic thinking and connecting of dots between strategy and technology
  • Collaboration, with an ability to identify and work across a diverse set of stakeholders
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with an ability to communicate to a broad range of stakeholders

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Experience in sustainability use cases (e.g., carbon accounting, supply chain, emissions management, biodiversity)
