Clients & Markets Writer

Dentons US LLP is recruiting for a Clients & Markets Writer to be resident in our New York or Chicago office. The successful candidate will collaborate with lawyers, colleagues on the Clients & Markets team and other departments to develop and deliver a variety of written materials that showcase the Firm's client-in focus in ways that are relevant and compelling to the desired audiences.

The Clients & Markets Writer should be skilled at distilling complex topics into relatable messaging that connects with readers. This individual will excel at developing and delivering original ideas for content, and in working collaboratively with colleagues to improve upon existing content. The ability to write, edit and proofread materials ensuring they are grammatically correct and adhere to the Firm's existing style guidelines is critical.

This individual will excel in drafting internal and external collateral materials that sell the Firm's capabilities. Materials will include, but not be limited to, marketing collateral and other client-facing pieces, website content, brochures, award nominations, presentations, reports, and internal and external newsletters.

Responsibilities

• Identify and interview expert sources to create compelling content
• Develop unique story ideas or fresh approaches to evergreen topics
• Independently perform background research as needed
• Draft, edit and proofread various materials as indicated above

• Responsible for other duties as may be assigned to fully meet the requirements of the position

• Duties may be ongoing or ad hoc in nature

Experience and Qualifications

• BA degree in English, writing, journalism, communications or related field required; graduate degree desirable
• A minimum of 8-10 years of relevant experience required; previous law firm or other professional services experience strongly preferred
• Exceptional writing and editing skills
• Excellent interpersonal and oral communication skills
• Logistical and planning skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks under tight deadlines
• Detailed knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite of products

Salary Range

New York Only: $120,000 - $140,000
