Clinical Manager, Inpatient Care Center

The Denver Hospice is seeking an experienced nurse manager to oversee our 24 hour Inpatient Care Center. This role is ideal for a clinical professional who understands how to run a unit with structure, accountability, and operational clarity while supporting compassionate end of life care.

The ICC provides short term symptom management and higher acuity support when care cannot be safely managed in other settings. This position works closely with senior clinical leadership to strengthen team performance, maintain regulatory standards, and ensure consistent, high quality patient care.

Leadership Scope

• Provide full clinical and operational oversight of the Inpatient Care Center

• Supervise, coach, and evaluate RNs, administrative staff, and support team members

• Lead interdisciplinary team meetings and oversee plan of care coordination

• Review admissions, eligibility, and discharge planning processes

• Ensure appropriate staffing coordination and continuous 24 hour coverage

• Maintain documentation standards and regulatory compliance

• Monitor utilization, productivity, and labor performance

• Support survey readiness and ongoing quality improvement initiatives

• Participate in a rotating on call schedule

What We Are Looking For

• Active Colorado RN license required

• Minimum three years of healthcare supervisory experience

• Leadership background in inpatient, hospital, or high acuity settings

• Demonstrated ability to manage staffing, workflow, and performance standards

• Comfort leading accountability conversations and guiding teams through change

• Strong communication skills and sound clinical judgment

• Hospice experience preferred but not required
