The Clinical Research Analyst will collaborate closely with all members of the Clinical Innovation team, as well as the Data Team, Product Team, and Clinical Operations Team. The role will be focused on leveraging both self-reported platform data as well as healthcare claims data to answer questions about Maven's clinical impact and on crafting materials to communicate these with the scientific community and clients (e.g., peer-reviewed manuscripts and conference presentations, white papers, powerpoint slides). In this role, you will help us to both understand and communicate clinical outcomes to the scientific community and Maven's clients, and to inform clinical product strategy and design in order to continuously drive better clinical outcomes in our product.
As a Clinical Research Analyst at Maven, you will:
- Help design rigorous retrospective and prospective analysis plans to evaluate Maven's impact on health outcomes and ROI
- Quantitatively analyze data for projects assessing Maven's influence on health outcomes, maternity experience, and ROI using statistical analysis software (R preferred)
- Extract insights on a diverse set of clinical and operational outcomes on our internal data platform in Looker / SQL
- Communicate results from research projects to a diverse audience including the scientific community, clients, and internal cross-functional teams
- Participate in retrospective evaluations of Maven's impact for existing clients, including analysis of healthcare claims and self-reported platform data, study design, and communication of results in Powerpoint and / or Word
- Collaborate with the Product team on analyses to inform clinical programming and product design
- Work closely with Maven's Senior Manager, Clinical Research on research analyses and publications
- Perform market research to help Maven build internal analytics capabilities or evaluate potential partnerships
- Collaborate with clinical operations to inform key operational decisions (e.g., cohort eligibility)
We're looking for you to bring:
- A master's degree with an aspiration for a career or further education in healthcare or research
- Expertise in study design and analytic methods
- Coding experience in R (or the desire and ability to learn R quickly if versed in another language), and a passion for dissecting and reconstructing complex issues with a data-driven approach
- Experience contributing to and disseminating peer-reviewed research projects (manuscripts, abstracts, conference presentations)
- A profile that balances technical abilities to answer questions through data manipulation and strong written and verbal communication skills, including "translation" with team members of varying technical abilities
- A sense of flexibility and prioritization in juggling both long-term, strategic projects and ad hoc, urgent requests as needed in a fast-paced startup environment
- Passion to drive better maternal and family health outcomes, and help grow new and innovative care models in women's and family health
Helpful experiences and skills (if you don't have them, you can learn them with us!):
- Experience with data visualization software (Looker a plus)
- Experience with financial modeling
- Background in a healthcare-related field
- Experience in creating Powerpoint slides in a business environment
At Maven we believe that a diverse set of backgrounds and experiences enrich our teams and allow us to achieve above and beyond our goals. If you do not have experience in all of the areas detailed above, we hope that you will share your unique background with us in your application and how it can be additive to our teams.
