Position Summary
The Psychosocial Oncology Clinical Research Manager (Clinical Research Programs - Couples and Caregiver Program) position is responsible for introducing innovation, technology, and research to enhance and optimize the Couples Coping with Cancer Together and caregiver programs interventions and outcomes. The Psychosocial Oncology Clinical Research Manager is responsible for developing, leading, and expanding a model of care that focuses on the unique needs of patients/caregivers in the both the outpatient and inpatient setting. In addition, the Psychosocial Oncology Clinical Research Manager in collaboration with the Department of Supportive Care Medicine Research Division, will develop and implement research protocols and produce performance outcomes. This position involves participation in multidisciplinary program development and evaluation and is expected to lead in education and training programs, policy writing, research and program development.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Proposes, designs, evaluates service delivery models that are sustainable and replicable and meet a specific gap in service.
- Works closely with the Director and staff to maintain a staff leadership culture within the Division, utilizing teams that are goal-directed to develop improved processes.
- Uses effective decision-making, evaluation and problem-solving skills.
- Master's degree or Ph.D. in Social Work or a related field
- Working knowledge of current, independent clinical psychosocial screening, assessment and counseling. Research, Program development and experience with leading a team.
