This position is remotely based, or it can also be hybrid out of one of our offices. We are unable to offer work sponsorship for this role. 

We are seeking an experienced Software Engineer with a minimum of 5 years of industry expertise to join our development team. The ideal candidate will possess strong proficiency in Clojure, SQL, JavaScript, GIT, and AWS, coupled with a proven track record of navigating enterprise-level systems. We prioritize individuals who thrive in small team environments. If you enjoy tackling diverse projects, solving complex problems, and are passionate about leveraging technology to advance the food industry, we want you on our team.

Your impact:

• Develop and maintain internal systems, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance.
• Build and maintain Clojure-based loader scripts for seamless data integration.
• Collaborate effectively with team members and project leads to address issues, execute projects, and resolve tickets in a timely and knowledgeable manner.
• Contribute to the design and implementation of new features and enhancements.
• Proactively identify areas for improvement and propose innovative solutions.
• Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends, continuously enhancing skills and knowledge.

About you:

• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in software development
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Informatics or a related field
• Proficiency in Clojure for backend development.
• Strong command of SQL for database management and querying.
• Solid understanding of JavaScript for frontend and backend development.
• Experience with version control systems, particularly GIT.
• Proven track record of working in small development teams.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively.
• Strong communication skills.
• Experience with cloud computing platforms, particularly AWS.
• Knowledge of asynchronous processes and their implementation.
• Ability and eagerness to learn new technologies and methodologies.
• Bonus: would include working knowledge of Windows servers, Python (Selenium), Java, Salesforce
