Cloud Administrator

What do we need

Lab archives is seeking a Cloud Administrator to be part of a small, dedicated team interacting with many departments to support our industry leading Electronic Laboratory Notebook (ELN), Inventory and Scheduler products.  Working with other systems staff, developers, and quality assurance staff, you will have a substantial impact on the many systems and processes behind the products we provide. This role is a remote worker position during normal business hours with periodic 24/7 incident support. We are looking for a technology enthusiast who thrives on closely collaborating with many team members across several departments, providing their technical expertise to the development and operations systems and processes while helping support our production networks 24/7.

In this role you will get to: 

• Ensure ongoing access, performance, security and availability to installations across the globe 24/7/365
• Perform and improve our internal processes for CD/CI, DR in conjunction with development, systems and product managers
• Build, support and update cloud and on-premise systems and services in collaboration with our systems managers

We are looking for people who have a minimum of 1 year of experience in development and/or IT operations including automating the release of frequent, incremental code and infrastructure changes to highly available cloud-based applications.  You will be able to demonstrate experience in

• Configuring, Monitoring, and Supporting Solutions in AWS
• Linux OS
• Systems Administration (Security, Backups, DR, Scripting)
• Virtualization, Containers, Disk Storage
• Encryption Security, Network Connectivity, NFS, DNS, SSL/TLS, Firewalls
• Load Balancers

• AWS Certifications involving System Operations
• Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or Related
