Job Description
Applied Research Solutions is seeking a part-time temporary (3-4 months) student software developer to support our COLLIDER program at our Dayton, OH headquarters location. We are seeking college students/entry-level developers who desire to create innovative solutions for complex data analytics/management challenges, utilize flexible thought processes, and can work in a close-knit team environment to produce the high-quality product that our DoD customers expect.
Responsibilities include:
- Pull relevant information out of Jira project management software to dynamically generate slides and excel sheets for the COLLIDER roadmap and end of sprint reports
- Work closely with the COLLIDER Product Management team to capture software development information needs
- Builds the appropriate COLLIDER program roadmap tools needed for successful customer implementation
- Consult with program customers/users to define their business requirements or problem areas and use technical expertise to provide innovative solutions
- Support requirement analysis, software development, and software integration
- Evaluate and integrate Government and Commercial off-the shelf (GOTS/COTS) applications to satisfy user requirements
- Follow formal development methodologies adhering to design specification, design techniques, standards, and established development guidelines
- Develop and maintain software technical documentation to assist in application maintenance and deployment
- Test software components for adherence to the user requirements
- Assist with the preparation of user and administrator documentation
- Adhere and support AGILE process-based development
- Assist in implementation of DevSecOps processes and techniques for Cloud and non-cloud applications
- Provided guidance by Senior and/or Mid management personnel for tasking
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications/ Technical Experience Requirements:
- Minimum of 2-years college education experience in computer science, computer engineering, or related fields
- Must be a US citizen
- Ability to obtain SECRET Clearance required, TS/SCI Clearance preferred
- Cloud Services, Java, JavaScript, HTML, and MS Office experience is required
- Other desired experience as follows:
- Linux, Python, Gitlab, Docker and container-based technologies, Jira, Power BI, and SharePoint application experience
- Demonstrated experience with data analytics applications
