THE JOB

The Cloud Application Solution Architect will execute one to many aspects of architecture, design, build, and implementation of technical solutions, and capabilities. Lead the creation of business solutions, capabilities, and is a strong influencer that engages with client executives and stakeholders. Provide IT Solutions within the constraints of budget, resource and business dependencies.

  • Has mastered the understanding of business complexities, problems or opportunities & applies expert knowledge, skills, and experiences to assist IT & Business stakeholders in aligning strategy and objectives to an acceptable solution/outcome.
  • Under general direction, identifies departmental level challenges, recommends and executes solutions. Solves very difficult business problems through both effective use of financial and technology management while efficiently leveraging human resource management.

  • Is an expert at interacting with peers, teams, business partners, & management to align strategy & objectives to a solution outcome. Utilizes proper latitude and autonomy.

The candidate should have extensive experience working with AWS services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, API Gateway, RDS, DynamoDB, CloudFront, CloudWatch, and Elastic Load Balancer. They should have a deep understanding of AWS infrastructure, be able to design and deploy highly available, fault-tolerant systems, and be comfortable working with both traditional and serverless architectures.

The candidate should have a solid foundation in software development using .NET and ReactJs, as well as experience in other programming languages such as Python and Node.js. They should be able to write efficient and scalable code that adheres to coding standards and best practices. The candidate should have strong troubleshooting skills, be able to identify and resolve issues quickly, and be comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.

The candidate should be able to design, implement, and maintain cloud-based architectures that meet business needs, such as scalability, high availability, security, and cost-efficiency. They should have a strong understanding of cloud design patterns and be able to recommend the most appropriate solution for a given scenario. The candidate should have experience working with modern cloud design principles, such as microservices, serverless computing, event-driven architectures, and containerization. They should be able to apply these principles to create scalable and maintainable cloud-based systems.

The candidate should be good understanding in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform and CloudFormation. The candidate should have experience working in DevOps environments and be familiar with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, source control management, and monitoring tools such as AWS CloudWatch, Splunk, Dynatrace. They should be able to set up and maintain automated deployment pipelines and implement monitoring solutions that ensure the performance and availability of cloud-based applications.

The candidate should have excellent communication and collaboration skills and be able to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including developers, business analysts, and operations teams. They should be able to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and work to find solutions that meet business requirements. The candidate should have experience working with Agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban, be able to work in an iterative and incremental manner, and be comfortable with changing requirements and priorities.

The candidate should have a solid understanding of cloud security best practices, such as IAM, encryption, network security, and threat management. They should be able to design and implement secure cloud architectures and be familiar with security compliance frameworks such as SOC 2, HIPAA, and GDPR.

Basic Qualifications (BQs)

Education and Experience: Bachelors in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Business and 5 years of related experience or high

school diploma/GED and 9 years of related IT experience.

Preferred Qualifications (PQs)

Education and Experience: Masters degree and 8 years of related IT experience
