Cloud Architect
Job Description
ManTech is seeking an experienced Cloud Architect to support our operations in Norfolk, VA.
Responsibilities Include but are not limited to:
- Work with a team of Cloud Architects and Systems Engineers to design, implement, and maintain enterprise cloud solutions for DoD cloud systems and applications.
- Design and deploy cloud infrastructures using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and cloud native services through established DevSecOps procedures.
- Perform assessments of existing systems and applications and provide architectures that are secure, scalable, and highly resilient while optimizing costs through analysis of usage patterns and trends.
- Develop cloud computing strategies and solutions that provide cloud adoption plans, cloud application design, architecture, development, and management through infrastructure pipelines.
- Assess and determine migration strategies and plans for all types of cloud migrations (Re-hosting, Re-platforming, Re-Architecting, etc.)
- Provide technical guidance to Mission Owners through the assessment, planning, and on-boarding processes as well as ongoing support throughout the life cycle of hosted systems.
- Proven experience of transitioning enterprise applications securely to the cloud.
- Analyzes customer hard problem sets and emerging technology needs and supports the development of ManTech cloud capabilities to meet these challenges through active participation in Internal Research and Development efforts.
- Interfaces with industry, academia, and research centers to proactively identify emerging cloud technology and best practices that can be applied to client needs and to stay informed on new technology trends.
- Willingness to travel as needed
- The ideal candidate will have experience working with multiple government agencies including agencies of Department of Defense.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Engineering, Information Technology, Engineering, or related technical area preferred. Master's degree desired.
- Ten years related experience with at least 5 years of experience in developing secure cloud solutions across major cloud service providers (AWS, MS Azure, and Google).
- Strong experience in Terraform, Linux/Windows OS administration, Active Directory
- Familiarity with Ansible, PowerShell, object-oriented programming languages, Splunk, relational databases
- Experience with routinely interfacing with senior level customer technical representatives.
- A minimum of three years of experience in security policy and emerging cybersecurity technologies.
- Experience with cloud brokerages, preferably Navy.
- Experience with containerization and microservices solutions (Kubernetes, OpenShift).
- Knowledge and experience working with federal compliance and guidance, including FISMA, RMF, Federal Enterprise Architecture Framework, DoDAF, NIST Cybersecurity Framework, NIST 800 series, FedRAMP and cloud-based security controls.
- Knowledge of technology for implementing security controls, including access control, privileged access management, data security, network security, data loss prevention, Cloud security, vulnerability management, configuration management, privacy, and audits.
- Security+ or higher-level security certification
- Computing Environment (CE) certification
- Must have active SECRET w/ SSBI security clearance.
Physical Requirements:
- Extensive time in stationary position
- Be able to move around the office
- Operate office equipment
- Be able to communicate professionally with ManTech employees and ManTech clients
- Must be able to observe and report
The projected compensation range for this position is $105,000-$150,000. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories. In addition, ManTech invests in it's employees beyond just compensation.
