As a key cloud architecting and operations person on the Predicine team, this lead position focuses on leading and implementing Predicine's business critical system and infrastructure cloud migration projects. Project management experience and interpersonal soft skills are as important as IT technical knowledge and expertise. This position can be close to one of the Predicine's locations or fully remote to support company's cloud migration and operations. In addition to tackling more complex processes and challenges, this individual contributor position is also expected to mentor other team members technically and act as a role-model and technical resource across the company.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Responsible for overseeing all aspects of cloud migration initiatives, which include governance, architect/design, implementation, security, and operations.
• Responds to cloud-related requests and support issues.
• Collaborate on critical hybrid (between cloud and on-premises) infrastructure initiatives such as cloud interconnects, cloud VPNs, multi-cloud architecting and operation.
• Other special IT projects as required, especially collaborating with software development and business analytics teams.
• Mentoring and training team members.

Requirements

• Previous (5+ years) cloud architecting, operations or cloud engineering experience is a must. Deep AWS, Azure and/or GCP knowledge and hands-on experience is expected.
• Proficient in one or more of the IaC and DevOps tools (Terraform, Puppet, Chef, Ansible, Git/GitLab). Expertise in operations tools like Splunk is a plus.
• Excellent communication (both verbal and written) and time management skills.
• Contributor, mentor, plus self-motivated and avid learner.
• Biotech or health science knowledge and research support experience is a plus.
• Ability to be flexible and demonstrate effectiveness and growth in a fast-paced and dynamic business environment.
