We are currently looking for a Cloud Architect who will be working closely with both the software development and testing teams to design, implement, and optimize cloud applications and services.

How you will do it

• Provide architectural leadership and guidance to technical teams to ensure that solutions developed are robust, highly scalable, and cost effective.
• Design and implement communication mechanisms between cloud and device utilizing technologies like MQTT, gRPC, Kafka, ect.
• Utilize identity technologies like Oauth, PKI, and SSO for system authentication and authorization.
• Design and implement highly available and fault tolerant systems.
• Work with internal (e.g., sales, support, etc.) and external clients in defining new products in addition to supporting existing products.
• Scope and document technical work based on business requirements.
• Lead the implementation of new systems and develop
• Design and implement microservices supporting cloud to device interaction including video streaming, archiving, device provisioning, and device configuration.
• Research and evaluate new technologies, approaches, and processes to improve the architecture and system development.

What we look for

Required

• All applicants must have a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, EE, Mathematics, or equivalent work experience.
• Must have strong CS fundamentals, software architecture and problem-solving skills.
• Highly proficient with Backend JavaScript (Node.js, Typescript).
• Experience managing and deploying servers in the cloud (Azure, AWS).
• Experience with source code version control, in particular git.
• Ability to influence, train, and mentor junior engineers.

Preferred

• Master's degree is highly preferred and will count as 2 years of relevant experience.
• Working knowledge of rapid development concepts with Scrum/Agile.
