Cloud Architect SME

Sigma Defense is seeking a Cloud Architect SME to provide expertise in design, development, and management of cloud resources. The Cloud Architect shall have a deep understanding of the structure and distribution of computing resources in AWS, Azure, etc., with the ability to prioritize usage to most effectively allocate funds and resources for the platform. Experience in Technical Customer Service, Customer Management, and experience in escalations may be required.

Requirements

Demonstrated knowledge in the following:

• Kubernetes
• Cloud Native Architectures and Zero Trust
• AWS and some other Clouds (Azure, GCP, etc.)
• Designing, implementing, and maintaining AWS cloud architecture using Terraform.
• Communicating solutions in a professional way to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Collaborating with other engineers and members of the team using tools like Git, in a secure, effective, and scalable way.

Highly experienced in the following:

• AWS
• Advanced networking
• VPC
• Peering
• Subnet
• Gitlab CI
• Terraform (to Include writing custom modules and collaboration)
• Ansible
• Linux
• SRE (for small to mid-enterprise system)
• Cloud architecture with Azure or GCP Is a plus

Experience with Kubernetes and or Docker Is a plus.

General DevOps experience.

Basic coding In Java, Python, Go, C++ or similar language are desirable.

Experience with microservices architecture.

Security framework experience (RMF, DISA STIG, CIS Benchmarks, etc.) are desirable.

Software Engineering background Is desirable.

Position will require ability to travel within the United States 5 -10%of the time.

Personnel Clearance Level:

• Candidate must possess or have the ability to obtain an active, DoD-issued Secret security clearance.
• A clearance will be sponsored for the right candidate.

Salary Range: $155,000 - $190,000 annually.
