Cloud Automation Engineer

About the Role:
The transportation industry has no shortage of complex problems requiring creative solutions to scale efficiently. In this role, you will be responsible for automating anything and everything related to the deployment of Mastery's cloud infrastructure. You will be an instrumental part of the Mastery Cloud Operations team responsible for the performance, monitoring, and deployment of the infrastructure that supports Mastery and its customers.
Responsibilities:

• Support the cloud engineering teams with tools and processes for automatically deploying, and running cloud infrastructure
• Optimization of build and deployment time using new methods or tools.
• Build validation and testing procedures to ensure infrastructure meets expectations
• Regularly review existing systems and make recommendations for performance improvements and cost saving measures
• Collaborate with cloud engineering, compliance, and security teams to ensure optimal configuration of cloud infrastructure in accordance with security best practices
• Help to mentor and grow other members of your engineering team

Requirements:

• Experience with cloud automation and scripting (e.g., CloudFormation, Terraform, Ansible)
• Some experience with cloud-based concepts for building highly available and fault tolerant architectures
• Experience with continuous integration, delivery, desired state processes tools and constraints
• Some experience with development on AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Experience in at least one programming language (python preferred)
• Strong technical documentation skills

Preferred Skills:

• AWS, Azure, GCP cloud computing certifications or equivalent coursework
• Proven working experience with Infrastructure as Code building CI/CD pipelines
• Some experience in containerization and management tools such as Kubernetes or Docker Swarm
