Cloud Computing Network Architect

AvantGarde, LLC (AG) seeks to engage a Cloud Computing Network Architect who will support the AG client on site at the Department of Justice (DOJ), Executive Office for United States Attorneys, supporting the task to migrate software applications from an on-premises cloud environment to an approved remote cloud environment. The Cloud Computing Network Architect provides support designing and managing the organization's cloud systems, applications, policies, and strategy.

The WORK

• Assist in the design and management of the organization's cloud systems, applications, policies, and strategy.
• Incorporate security management and privacy requirements into cloud hardware, software, and applications.
• Help to evaluate and identify the best cloud solutions for the organization.
• Design processes and assist with providing estimated levels of effort for migrating applications and databases to cloud platforms.
• Design controls and processes that utilize available audit tools.
• Maintain up-to-date and extensive knowledge of cloud products and technology.

Skills & Requirements

The REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, or related field.
• 4 -7 years of experience in designing and developing cloud systems and applications.
• Experience using IaaS and PaaS, AWS and Azure platforms.
• Experience with deployment of custom and COTS applications to cloud platforms.
• Experience with deployment of MS SQL Server to cloud platforms.
• Knowledge and awareness of cloud technology trends.
• Strong customer service orientation, with ability to work on an agile or waterfall-based team.
• Experience working in an agile work environment with ability to operate in a nimble, flexible way.
• Must be able to obtain a public trust clearance.

The Department of Justice (DOJ) Executive Office for United States Attorneys (EOUSA) provides executive and administrative support for the 93 United States Attorneys located throughout the 50 states, the District of Columbia, Guam, the Marianas Islands, Puerto Rico, and the U.
