Job Details
Responsibilities
- Understand customer’s business requirements and develop architectural models for cloud-based Data Management solutions leveraging public Cloud technologies (AWS/AZURE) to operate at large scale and high performance.
- Understand clients’ existing data management environments, ask the right questions and be able to deep dive and identify root cause of issues.Evaluate and plan DWH migrations to cloud.
- Work alongside customers to build data management platforms using Azure/AWS Technologies
- Understand the functional design requirements for a cloud-based Data Management solution and design conceptual, logical, and physical data models that can meet current and future business needs. Ensure designs follow specifications
- Based on project requirements, collaborate with offshore teams to develop and deliver solution
- Guide teams to write better code. Review code and help in pushing the team in an optimized way of development.
Required Skill Sets and Experience
- 12+ years of experience as a hands-on architect in data warehouse, and data engineering in both data and application space for enterprise projects.
- 4 years of experience in AWS or Azure cloud solution architecture
- 4 years of experience in solutioning very tight SLA non-functional requirements
- 3-5 years of experience in data architecture and technology
- 4+ years of experience working as a Data Warehouse architect using AWS/Azure technologies.
- Extensive hands-on experience in leading large-scale full-cycle MPP enterprise data warehousing (EDW) projects.
- Should be very strong in Data Modelling and Database design.
- Experience in leveraging Snowflake for building Data lakes/Data warehouses is highly preferred.
- Excellent SQL skills.
- Experience performing data analysis and data exploration.
- Experience working in an agile delivery environment.
- Strong critical thinking, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong knowledge of ETL/Data processing tools like IICS, Talend, Databricks, and Spark.
- Hands-on scripting ability using Python/Unix is preferable.
- Excellent communication and client management skills. Experience in management consulting will be a plus.
- Knowledge of architecting HIPPAA Complaint cloud infrastructure for data management is a plus.
- Business Objects, Looker, and PowerBI knowledge will be a plus.
- AWS/Azure certification is preferable.
- Experience in the Life-sciences/ Healthcare domain, and knowledge of Commercial Processes and Data sets is preferable.
