TITLE:                            Cloud Data Engineer 

HOURS:                              Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm 

DUTIES:                            

Handling Legacy System migration to Modern Cloud Solution as Onshore Coordinator. Manage and Review Client Business Requirements and ensure proper catalog of requirements in Business Requirement Document. Build and implement complex data solutions in the cloud such as AWS, GCP and/or Microsoft.

Handling Databricks code development using Scala and SQL.

Snowflake Table querying and consumption of views and tables to Power BI, using SQL to enhance views and performing table joins. Uncover and recommend remediations for data quality anomalies.

Investigate, recommend and implement data ingestion and ETL performance improvements. Document data ingestion and ETL program designs, present findings, conduct peer code reviews.

Develop and execute test plans to validate code

REQUIREMENTS:             

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Information Systems, Computer Applications, Engineering (any), or a related field                                  

Three (3) years in any occupation in which Development, Engineering, or related experience was gained must include (experience can be gained before or after university education): Three (3) years of experience building complex ETL programs using tools such as: Informatica, DataStage, Spark, or Dataflow; Two (2) years of experience in Python and/or Java, developing complex SQL queries, and working with relational database technologies; Experience configuring big data solutions in a cloud environment using tools such as: AWS, Azure or GCP; Experience using cloud storage and computing technologies such as: BigQuery, RedShift, or Snowflake; and Experience developing complex technical and ETL programs within a Spark ecosystem.

TELECOMMUTING EMPLOYEE: Reports to company headquarters in Chicago, IL. Can work remotely or telecommute up to 100%.
