What You Will Do

Come join the Open Blue security team at Johnson Controls and be a part of our digital transformation journey! We are currently looking for a Cloud Database Analyst to lead the cloud strategy and development activities. This position will work closely with software development and testing teams to design, implement, and optimize solutions under the global Access Control Video Surveillance group. This is a remote position!

How you will do it

• Work with internal (sales, support, etc.) and external clients in defining new products in addition to supporting existing products
• Triage and resolve Extract Transform and Load (ETL) bugs identified
• Develop and implement new ETL enhancements
• Work with the product management team to gather requirements for the database design and model
• Understand the data needs of the company
• Collaborate with the development team to design, build, and optimize the database model
• Resolve business needs for data reporting requirements
• Prepare and maintain documentation that defines operational procedures, describes client requirements, and shares relevant analysis outcomes with internal and external stakeholders
• Work with and advise database analysts to design data feeds and calculations to facilitate analytical work to be performed with the goal of improving efficiency and effectiveness of processes

What you will need

Required

• Bachelor's degree
• 5 years experience working with complex business data
• Prior experience as a primary data analyst performing these functions at an enterprise level
• Azure SQL Database or PostgreSQL
• Database design with SQL, including expertise in query writing.
• Knowledge of statistical forecasting methods and ability to interpret data trends through analysis
• Ability to build reports and dashboards to track performance in inventory optimization across field operations
