About the Job...

JOB SUMMARY: The Cloud DevOps Engineer will use DevSecOps methods to develop applications using languages. This role will architect, develop, and implement software cloud solutions related to the DevOps and Agile Transformation of the enterprise for the cloud.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field. Minimum of 10 years experience as a Cloud DevOps or similar type position.

SECURITY CLEARANCE: U.S. citizen and active Secret or Top Secret clearance required, SCI Eligibility clearance desired. 

JOB TYPE: Full Time

LOCATION: Candidate is ideally located within commuting distance of Colorado Springs, CO.

SALARY RANGE: $120K to 145K, the estimate range represents the typical salary for the position commensurate with experience, knowledge and demonstrated success in the field and other factors.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Possesses requisite experience with CI/CD technologies including Git, Hashicorp tool sets, Terraform, Puppet, Chef, Jenkins, Docker EE, Openshift, ELK Stack and many other DevOps related technologies.
• Develops automation strategies for both data center stacks (Hyperconverged/Traditional architectures, VMWare, KVM, Cisco, F5 & AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Works with software languages which will include node.js, Go, Java, PHP, Ruby, and COTS-based application distributions.
• Evaluates strengths and weaknesses in the CI/CD Processes and make recommendations of automation to mitigate weaknesses and risks.
• Works with peers within team and outside team to help develop continuous integration and continuous development pipeline.
• Works with leaders at customer locations to help advise them on how best to achieve their DevOps goals.
• Possesses expert knowledge in DevOps and the need for application teams to adopt best practices.
• Engages in AWS engineering work for clients via tickets submitted to the service desk as assigned. Possesses platform expertise in the “core” infrastructure areas (VPC, EC2, RDS, S3, etc.).
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

REQUIRED SKILLS & ABILITIES: 

• Requisite experience with Python, PowerShell, bash, csh, CloudFormation, Terraform, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes and/or other automation and scripting languages and tools.
• Requisite experience with Git / GitHub/ BitBucket with requisite understanding of version control / branching and merging strategies and best practices.
• Requisite experience with cloud unit testing techniques, strategies, tools, and their integration into the CI/CD pipeline.
• Requisite experience with static code analyzers such as SonarQube, Fortify, Coverity, StyleCop, CheckStyle, PMD, etc.
• AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional; Microsoft Certified: Azure DevOps Engineer Expert, Google Professional DevOps Engineer certificates preferred.
• Adept at multiple technologies: Linux, Unix shell scripts, Windows, Python, Ruby, Ansible, Terraform, Chef, Puppet, Jenkins, TeamCity, Bamboo, Travis CI, etc.
• Database development and maintenance skills
• Familiar with AWS, MS, and Google cloud features
• DevSecOps and CI/CD pipeline skills
• Knowledge of SDLC
• Skill in Containerization Technologies
• Cloud vendor status monitoring skills
• Organized with attention to detail.
• Excellent analytical, logical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
