Role Overview:

The Cloud Engineer is responsible for building and maintaining the SaaS product cloud environments at Medalogix both in Azure and AWS. Reporting to the VP of Infrastructure & Operations, this position will help the continued build out and maturing of our next generation, cloud-native product platform as well as harden our operational practices across all platforms ensuring stability and availability. The candidate will join the current Cloud Engineering group bringing additional skills and experiences that further elevate our team. Duties & Responsibilities:

• Build out additional product platforms as required to meet the needs of our product delivery, leveraging a cloud native architecture and modern technology stack
• Collaborate and support the product delivery teams in the creation of new & upgraded product environments
• Continued operational oversight of our existing environments ensuring we maintain a highly available, scalable, and resilient product platform.
• Develop high quality cloud assets with a holistic product mindset (ease of use, functional, performant, available)
• Elevate and support our Agile development practices with specific focus on team execution, continuous improvement, quality
• Contribute to the improvement of our development tools and practices including: CI/CD, quality, security, performance, etc.
• Help support current products and platforms ensuring customer satisfaction
• Support and enhance our collaborative and innovative team culture that spans the organization
• Mentor, challenge, and grow your peers on the Medalogix technology team.
• Support the Medalogix production systems through support and on-call rotations.

Experience & Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field
• Experience building and maintaining Azure and AWS cloud environments
• Experience building SaaS products in an Azure cloud environment that is multi-tenant and highly scalable
• Working knowledge of AWS Elasticache, Lambda, EC2, ECS and load balancer functions
• Experience with containerized workloads and use of Azure specific services.
• Ability to manage Azure and AWS networking - vnets, NSGs, ASGs, private endpoints/links, etc.
• Experience with Azure Identity - AAD, Azure B2C, etc as well as AWS domain controllers.
• Experience managing VM based environments
• Experience with Azure DevOps, Confluence/Jira, Octopus, Teamcity, Bitlocker, etc.
• Experience with Azure Monitoring and Governance but also AWS Cloudwatch
• Working knowledge of PowerShell and Terraform
• Conceptual understanding of Disaster Recovery solutions
• Experience in web frontend and backend technology
• Expertise in agile methodologies and related tools with a passion for team success and continuous improvement
• Ability to translate product ideas into technical requirements
• Cloud computing technology experience including: serverless, containers, storage architectures, security
• Highly desirable, experience is modernizing existing applications/instrumenting code to provide analysis for cloud monitoring
• Willingness to work in a highly collaborative, team based culture
• Preference to reside in Nashville metro area
