In this role, you will be the mastermind behind all aspects of our cloud services, steering them from initial proof of concept to their final destination in our company catalog, ready for application teams to deploy. This role is pivotal, and your contribution will be a key factor in the success and efficiency of our cloud operations.
How You'll Help Us Build a Confident Future:
• Cloud Services Stewardship: Assume full ownership of the cloud services product catalog lifecycle, ensuring its relevance, efficiency, and alignment with business needs.
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC) Management: Take charge of our ever-expanding cloud services infrastructure as code registry, ensuring its robustness, scalability, and reliability.
• Cross-Team Collaboration: Work hand-in-hand with technical teams and stakeholders, enabling them to accelerate their cloud adoption through the power of self-service automation.
• Solution Architecture Development: Partner with the Cloud Center of Excellence to design, develop, and automate the delivery of cutting-edge cloud workload/application solution architectures.
• Needs Identification and Solutioning: Collaborate closely with application development, operations, and customers to pinpoint needs, identify opportunities, and devise innovative solutions.
• Technical Documentation: Craft high-quality, easily comprehensible technical documentation, facilitating knowledge transfer and effective usage of our cloud services.
• Standards and Best Practices: Establish and continually update local standards and best practices within your technical area, promoting consistency and excellence.
• Stakeholder Relationship Management: Foster strong technical relationships with key stakeholders and partnering teams, ensuring smooth collaboration and mutual success.
• Technology Mastery: Stay abreast of relevant technology trends and advancements, ensuring our cloud services remain cutting-edge and competitive.
• Special Projects: Participate in special projects as required, demonstrating flexibility and contributing your expertise to diverse initiatives.
What You Need to Succeed:
• Cloud Services Expertise: Proven experience in building and architecting solutions that enable efficient and automated operations of Cloud Services.
• Business Collaboration: Demonstrated experience in working with non-technical business partners to deliver global solutions, showcasing your ability to translate complex technical concepts into understandable terms.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Experience in working with stakeholders and facilitating small groups, highlighting your strong interpersonal and collaboration skills.
• Analytical and Communication Skills: Excellent analytical skills coupled with superior communication abilities, both verbal and written, enabling you to effectively analyze problems and articulate solutions.
• IT and Cloud Infrastructure Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience in IT and/or cloud Infrastructure engineering, reflecting your deep understanding of the field.
• Cloud Services Knowledge: At least 3 years of working knowledge of Cloud services, demonstrating your hands-on experience and proficiency.
• Terraform Infrastructure as Code (IaC) Experience: A minimum of 2 years of experience utilizing Terraform Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to deploy and manage infrastructure lifecycle in the cloud, showcasing your expertise in modern infrastructure management practices.
What Can Give You an Edge:
• Certifications: Certifications in Agile/Scrum (SAFe), Terraform, and CI/CD related areas will give you an edge, showcasing your commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
• Terraform Cloud and DevOps Experience: 2+ years of experience with Terraform Cloud and DevOps, demonstrating your proficiency in modern development practices and tools.
• Software Development Lifecycle and CI/CD Experience: 2+ years of experience with the software development lifecycle, CI/CD, and source control to deliver automation and configuration management, reflecting your understanding of efficient development practices.
• Cloud-Based Networking Experience: 2+ years of experience with cloud-based networking technologies such as Express Route, VNet, MS Peering, UDR, NSG, and GW, showcasing your knowledge of cloud networking.
• Cloud-Based Storage Experience: 2+ years of experience with cloud-based storage technologies like Blob Storage and File Storage, demonstrating your expertise in managing and optimizing cloud storage.
• Cloud-Based Container Experience: 2+ years of experience with cloud-based container technologies such as Kubernetes and Apps, reflecting your skills in container orchestration and management.
• Cloud-Based Directory Service Experience: 2+ years of experience with cloud-based directory services like Entra, showcasing your understanding of cloud identity and access management.
• Cloud-Based Key Vault Experience: 2+ years of experience with cloud-based key vault technologies like Key Vault, demonstrating your knowledge of secure data and key management in the cloud.
• Cloud-Based CI/CD Tools Experience: 2+ years of experience with cloud-based CI/CD tools like Azure DevOps, GitHub and Terraform Cloud, reflecting your proficiency in automating software delivery and infrastructure changes.
