Cloud Engineer

The Junior Cloud Engineer will work closely with the Manager of IT to manage, automate, design, and maintain the system infrastructure. This individual will be a key contributor in a growing technology team owning and maintaining the systems used both by the development teams as well as our clients, customers, and internal staff. This is an exciting role and opportunity to be a leader in a fast-growing business and have a direct impact on technology direction and growth of the business.

Responsibilities: 

• Work alongside team members to maintain development and production environments 
• Create and manage automated infrastructure deployments using Terraform 
• Create and manage automated application pipelines using Azure DevOps Pipelines 
• Assist with implementing and maintaining virtual network infrastructure as well as identify and resolve root causes of network issues  
• Proactively identify and reduce issues through design, testing, and implementation of solutions.
• Implement cloud security best practices on new projects and migrate existing infrastructure to employ these best practices 
• Ability to assist developers in debugging code in a production environment in order to escalate hotfix releases 

What we look for: 

• BS in Computer Science or other related field of study and applicable work experience 
• 1-3 years of experience working in the Microsoft Azure Cloud environment
• Experience in Software Development using Object Oriented Programming concepts
• Experience with cloud automation tools, ie: Terraform, Ansible, Azure DevOps Pipelines
• Experience with Azure Serverless technology, ie: Azure Functions, App Services, Logic Apps, etc.
• Experience in implementing and supporting Virtualized Networks in a Cloud Environment
• Knowledge of and desire to work in an Agile development environment
• Strong teamwork orientation and the ability to foster collaboration within and across teams
• Experience deploying and maintaining Azure SQL Databases
