Cloud Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, deploy, and manage Azure-based infrastructure and services, including virtual machines, storage, networking, and security.
• Develop and maintain automated configuration management processes using tools such as Ansible, Azure Automation, PowerShell or Chef.
• Implement best practices for security, compliance, and disaster recovery in Azure environments.
• Monitor system performance and proactively identify areas for improvement, optimization, and cost reduction.
• Could you collaborate with development/Installation teams to ensure smooth deployment and operation of applications in Azure?
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for infrastructure-related issues, including on-call support as needed.
• Stay up to date on emerging technologies and industry trends related to Azure and configuration management.
• After hours / on call 

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related hands-on experience.
• Proven experience as a Systems Administrator or similar role, with a focus on Azure configuration management, Azure deployment, IaC, 
• Strong understanding of Azure services, including IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS offerings.
• Hands-on experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible, Terraform, Azure Automation, PowerShell DSC, or Chef.
• Solid understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, and firewalls.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, or Bash.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Incredible communication skills, attention to detail, customer facing. 
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Datadog experience a plus 
• Azure certifications (e.g., AZ-104, AZ-400) are a plus.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and methodologies.
