We are looking for motivated individuals to join our IT Engineering team as a Cloud Engineer where you will develop, implement, optimize, and maintain cloud-based solutions. You will be responsible for deploying and debugging cloud stacks and ensuring the reliability and security of the cloud infrastructure. You will have the opportunity to work on the different product teams to help you grow your technical and professional competency.

You will have an opportunity to work in several specialty fields with information technology to include Infrastructure, Applications, Cloud Computing (including OS & Application modernization), DevOps, platform migration, and server consolidation.

The Role

To be successful as a cloud engineer, you should be able to identify the most optimal cloud-based solutions for our digital platforms and maintain cloud infrastructures in accordance with best practices and company security policies. You understand the nuances of different cloud solutions (hybrid, public, private, multi-cloud, on-prem) and implications for solution design. The Cloud Engineer will apply excellent troubleshooting skills, stay current with industry trends, and must be a team player.

As a Cloud Engineer, you will:

  • Maintain and troubleshoot Azure/On-prem environments and services
  • Deploy and manage modern and legacy environments through automation and IaC DevOps approach.
  • Design and implement application security for Azure cloud and On-prem native solutions
  • Collaborate with software engineering and development teams to evaluate and identify optimal cloud solutions.
  • Modify and improve existing systems.
  • Educate teams on the implementation of new cloud technologies and initiatives.
  • Design, develop, and deploy modular cloud-based systems.
  • Develop and maintain cloud solutions in accordance with best practices.

Experience

  • Demonstrated experience in at least 2 of the following areas: Network engineering, Network security, OS (Windows/Linux) administration and security, or System/Network monitoring
  • Strong experience in IT platform, storage, networking, and virtualization (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V or equivalent)
  • Strong experience with Microsoft Windows Server Technologies (Server 2019, Server Core, etc.)
  • Experience in the design and implementation of distributed applications
  • Practical experience with cloud methodologies, automation, orchestration
  • Experience in architecting and implementing cloud-based solutions with robust BCP and DR requirements
  • SAFe Agile framework experience preferred

Skills

  • Core skills for Cloud Administration, Network and Security
  • Ability to code/script to automate cloud services using at least one of the following languages: C, C#, C++, .NET, VS.NET, ASP.NET, PowerShell, JavaScript, HTML, XML, Python, YAML
  • Hands on experience with Ansible, Azure Active Directory, Microsoft Active Directory, and MS Office products.
