As a Cloud Engineer II for CAF Technology, you will be responsible for the development, maintenance, and support of CAF Alfa application infrastructure. Alfa is the primary Credit servicing platform used by Carmax Auto Finance to manage our loan portfolio. This position is a key contributor in the software application life-cycle, performing analysis and design, development, and working to achieve project and business goals. The responsibilities of this position revolves around ownership of assigned engineering tasks and infrastructure projects

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

• Focus on developing, implementing, and operationalizing the Alfa Platform in the Cloud to ensure the infrastructure is highly available and resilient
• Perform configuration, troubleshooting, and ongoing management of the Alfa Platform to ensure that it is always available for the business based on set SLAs
• Build infrastructure, networks, and systems for scalability, resiliency, availability, and recovery through infrastructure-as-code
• Continually evolve the Alfa Infrastructure platform and its operations using solid engineering and agile practices
• Partner with support and engineering teams at Alfa to assist in troubleshooting and resolving business critical support issues.
• You will stay on top of industry trends and best practices to continually improve what we do, how we do it, and ensure we are delivering quickly with quality.

Skills and Qualifications required:

• Technical experience in infrastructure design, build and deployment in the cloud.
• In depth working knowledge of the Alfa Application and the Infrastructure platform to support and troubleshoot technical issues that arise
• In depth working knowledge and experience building Airflow DAGs and maintaining the Airflow Application to ensure CAF nightly processes and integrations run on schedule
• Demonstrable experience with Splunk and Data Dog to monitor and diagnose Alfa infrastructure, Airflow critical Business Processes, and other System Processes required for the Alfa Platform/
• Demonstrable experience with Azure cloud capabilities including but not limited to storage, key vaults, virtual networking, virtual machines, and automated deployments
• Demonstrable experience with software development preferably with one or more of Ansible, PowerShell, Python, C#
• Demonstrable experience creating and managing CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Team City or Azure DevOps
• Demonstrable experience supporting Windows or Linux OS
• Strong attention to detail, problem investigation, and diagnostic skills
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related Technology field, or equivalent experience
