Roles & Responsibilities

As a Cloud Engineer your primary roles and responsibilities would include designing, deploying and maintaining the cloud-based infrastructure and services that enable the real-time monitoring, detection, and prevention of vulnerabilities and misconfigurations in APIs, while ensuring the solution is scalable, secure, and highly available. Additionally, you will collaborate with stakeholders, provide technical guidance to development teams, implement automation and DevOps practices, and stay up-to-date with emerging cloud technologies and best practices in API security.

Requirements

• Networking - understand virtual networks and general network functions such as firewalls, routing, load balancing, and VPN tunnels
• Containerization - Proficiency with containerization tools and a firm understanding of Docker and Kubernetes
• Virtualization - Knowledge and ability to create virtual machines and run applications on them
• AWS and Azure provider knowledge required
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Methodical problem-solving and research gathering
• Ability to maintain an ongoing comprehensive understanding of the cloud-computing ecosystem
• Knowledge of API security best practices, including authentication, authorization, and encryption
• API security - Strong understanding of API security best practices, including authentication, authorization, and encryption, as well as experience with API security testing tools such as OWASP ZAP and Burp Suite.
• Monitoring and logging - Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK stack, and ability to analyze logs to detect and troubleshoot issues in real-time.
