TS/SCI Clearance Required

General Duties:

Leverage Amazon Web Services (AWS) technologies to support the full software development lifecycle of critical mission systems. The objective is to provide an enterprise-wide cloud infrastructure to be used for development, integration, and operational activities across multiple AWS platforms (GovCloud, SC2S, C2S). As part of the Operations Team, you’ll evaluate new technologies (cloud services), integrate & deploy systems, and continuously monitor the environments. Since most of the work is conducted remotely via telework, this highly motivated engineering team uses Agile processes and online collaboration tools to coordinate activities. 

Short visits to government facilities are required 2-3 times per week. The specific technologies and activities are described below but heavy emphasis will be placed on AWS native services, Linux administration, Automation (Ansible), and Container (Docker) orchestration. 
Required Experience:

  • 3+ years working within Linux (e.g., Red Hat, CentOS) environments
  • 2+ years supporting AWS environments and native services (EC2, S3, SQS, SNS, IAM)
  • 2+ years scripting in Python, Ruby, or BASH
  • 1+ years using Automation technologies such as Ansible, Puppet, Chef
  • 1+ years working with containers (i.e. Docker) and orchestration (i.e. Kubernetes)
  • 1+ years using Git (e.g., GitHub, GitLab, BitBucket)
  • Must be a team player and a leader who understands the importance of teamwork, collaboration, and open communication, including a willingness to occasionally work in a pair-programming environment

Desired Skills:

  • Experience with Jenkins and related CI/CD technologies
  • Experience with common Linux applications (e.g., Tomcat, PostgreSQL)
  • Experience with Agile (Scrum) processes and tools including Confluence and Jira.
  • Familiarity commodity hardware (servers, storage, network devices)

Education/Experience Level:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in scientific, engineering, or related field
  • Certifications Required: None, but AWS certifications are highly desirable
  • Must have an active security clearance (TS/SCI) for this position

Clearance:

  • TS/SCI security clearance and willingness to pursue a Counterintelligence (CI) Polygraph
