Summary of the role:

We are looking for Traditional and Cloud Network Engineers to join our team where you will configure and deploy infrastructure in Azure in an automated fashion that will operate, and scale more than 200 OpenShift and Kubernetes platforms operating in both public and private clouds.

In addition, traditional networking equipment must be maintained for on-prem deployments.

These platforms are responsible to host Amadeus' global platforms server over 200 airlines, 6000 hotel properties, etc.

In this role you'll:

• Design, deploy and operate on premises networking equipment & public cloud (Azure or AWS or GCP) for Production environment
• Define and implement relevant monitoring and alerting
• Write Infrastructure as Code modules
• Define and evangelize cloud-related optimizations and best practices to improve reliability, stability and performance
• Work closely with Architects and Software Engineers from various product teams to implement new initiatives
• Conduct proof concepts and studies to deploy new hardware or software functionalities to the IaaS platform
• Work with the developer community to understand their business objectives and convert them in to workable prototypes
• Responsible for solving network connectivity issues, adding/modifying NAT entries and firewall rules to enable connectivity
• Provide network configuration support and document client requirements
• Work with clients to ensure that data flow diagrams are accurately completed to provide exact network connectivity
• Coordinate required changes working alongside other network and firewall teams
• Support Cloud Architects to provide operations and migration services that allow organizations/clients to style the availability and delivery of cloud computing services following business and technical requirements
• Responsible for the upgrade, installation, and configuration of monitoring solution for Azure systems
• Provide report on current infrastructure status and plan for future usage
• Responsible for the configuration and support of backbones connection over DirectConnect (AWS), ExpressRoute (Azure), and an array of direct BPE connection handled over CSR1000
• Utilize approved tools to verify and take required action on events aggregated from network monitoring tools and Web Application Firewall
• Responsible for troubleshooting to ascertain root cause of issues
• Perform network system updates, patches, and configuration changes
• Map network layouts and configure systems to user environments.
• Review HLD, identify issues, risk and drive the project from Engineering acceptance till closure
• Create LLD (Low Level Design) containing scope, Visio n/w diagrams, technical details and configuration along with migration steps need to execute during project delivery.

About the ideal candidate:

• Education: Bachelors Degree or equivalent work experience.
• 6+ years relevant technical experience in Network WAN Designing/Engineering and operational services role and technical experience with CISCO, ARISTA, JUNIPER and 1+ years in Cloud Based Technologies.
• You have a solid grasp of scalability, stability and security challenges of a customer-centric, cloud-based applications

• Knowledge and experience in Terraform, TerraGrunt, Python, Java, Go, Kafka, OpenShift, Kubernetes, Groovy, Terraform,
• Experience in troubleshooting network, security and infrastructure issues in a large enterprise environment
• Solid scripting skills
• Ability to design, architect, implement and support (3rd level) the AMADEUS Global WAN, Internet, PoP's and colocations, IP and router network (Internet, Intranet and Extranet), as well as special Amadeus customer network requirements and solutions

• Act as main point of contact for Airline IT, Business Development, Service Management or other 1A organizations for pre-sales, sales, implementation and post implementation activities for major customers and accounts. 3rd level on-call support (rotational)
• Experience in troubleshooting network, security and infrastructure issues is a plus
• Experience running a sizeable environment (1000+ devices)
• Quick learning, sense of urgency based on impact, excellent time management
• SRE- how to operate at scale through automation and ability to code. (Python, Go, Ansible)
• Networking concepts In-depth knowledge of the complete TCP/IP protocol suite including IP addressing scheme and subnetting and NAT/PAT
• In-depth knowledge of TCP/IP, LAN/WAN (routers, switchers), DMZ
• Knowledge of Internet security and security concepts (firewalling, RADIUS, TACACS)
• Good knowledge of Internet principles and technologies (DNS, VPN concepts and SSL)
• Knowledge of LAN principles and protocols (Token Ring, Ethernet, Translation Bridging, Netbios,)
• Hands-on experience in BGP/OSPF routing and network design
• Ability to explore public cloud providers (mostly Azure) & build technical solutions to solve business problems
• CI/CD pipeline (Jenkins, Artifactory, bitbucket, GIT)
• You should have know-how Encryption and certificates concepts
