Our Cloud Operations Engineers are passionate about keeping mission critical cloud systems operating at peak efficiency. They embody this by emphasizing rigorous process and clear, concise communications. They create successful outcomes by  responding quickly to incidents and alerts and working to remediate them to maintain SLAs.

Ideally, you’re someone who knows the basics of Infrastructure as Code, but wants to grow those skills by solving real-world operational problems. You have administered systems in the past and know the pitfalls of click-ops and manual work. You love to share your passion with others and exhibit good judgment in selecting strategic opportunities to do so. You don’t just want to be part of an industry movement; you want to be leading it. Your Life As A Maven:

• Operating, troubleshooting and restoring production systems in public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Implementing and testing DR plans. 
• Using Terraform, Ansible and CI pipelines to maintain Infrastructure as Code.
• Contributing & Updating existing Terraform, Ansible and CI pipelines to maintain/update Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• Monitoring and responding to observability data (logs, metrics and alerts) and taking appropriate action when Service Level Indicators are exceeded. 
• Writing functional, working code. Using feedback and mentoring to improve code quality.
• Working within ITSM systems and processes to manage incidents, changes, and requests.

Your Expertise:

• Experience as a Systems Administrator working in public cloud (Linux or Windows) with functional understanding of all infrastructure components (compute, storage, networking). 
• Basic knowledge of scripting languages such as Python and Bash.
• Working Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code concepts and tools (Terraform, Ansible, CI Pipelines).
• Practice in working in distributed and international teams, overcoming language and communications barriers.
• Hands-on experience operating cloud solutions on Google, AWS and/or Azure.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field or 3-5 years of relevant experience.
