Cognizant Technology Solutions is currently seeking a highly skilled Cloud Performance Architect who will be responsible for driving performance, availability and stability of critical cloud applications and their integrations by working closely with App, Infra, database and middleware teams. Non-Functional requirements gathering, Test planning and Analysis.

Responsibilities: • Service Restoration - Participate in incident triage calls. Identify, analyze and correct the issues to restore service levels • Problem Management - Analyze the incidents and log bugs with the support teams for getting resolution to the persistent issues. Correlate cloud incidents with service outages • Enterprise Architecture - Create Resiliency design patterns applicable to the enterprise architecture landscape considering the technology stack, solution design, infrastructure, cloud solution, data architecture etc.

  • Develop Observability solution and infuse elements of observability into enterprise architecture through configuration or scaffolding patterns during development. Create bespoke AI solutions to reduce MTTR as part of the enterprise architecture solution. Optimize Enterprise architecture for optimal capacity on prem and efficient utilization on cloud to reduce the IT expenditure. Conduct Fault Vulnerability Analysis to identify lapses in the Enterprise Architecture in addressing business resilience and provide solutions.
• Manage the production environment of critical applications by monitoring availability/reliability and taking holistic view of system health • Support project releases by defining Non-Functional Requirements, SLOs, architecture/design review, planning, test execution, analysis of data, triaging/resolution and stakeholder communication • Drive implementation of roadmap capabilities. Develop automation capabilities. Collaborate with cross teams for improvement and adoption of capabilities

Required Skills/Qualifications:

  • 13+ years of experience as Cloud Performance/Site Reliability Engineer with key focus on Cloud Enablement, Observability, Root Cause Analysis, Incident/Problem Management
  • Hands-on experience in AWS Cloud and Dynatrace APM is expected. Experience in log analytics tools like Splunk is preferable
  • Should be well versed in cloud concepts and telemetry data analysis
  • Should have experience in Non-Functional Requirement validation, performance test design, test execution and analysis support and providing recommendations to resolve performance/scalability issues
  • Should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Should be able to work with customers independently

Preferred Skills/Qualification:

  • Certification in AWS Certified Solution Architect or Dynatrace Certified Associate or Splunk (Splunk Core Certified Power User) is preferable
