Cloud Principal Architect

Job Description

The Software Principal Architect - Cloud is responsible for the identification, analysis, and translation of enterprise business drivers into business, information and technical architecture requirements while providing a customer perspective and input into IT decisions. Provides overall direction, guidance and definition of an enterprise's cloud strategy and architecture to effectively support the corporate business. Consistently Operates at Expert Level.

• Architect cloud-native, hybrid, or multi-cloud solutions to meet the client's needs.
• Work closely with IT security to monitor the company's cloud privacy.
• Design multi-tenant solutions with no sharing of data between tenants.
• Define and adhere to the principles, guidelines, standards, and solution patterns to ensure solution decisions are aligned with the enterprise's future-state architecture vision.
• Leading migration conversions of applications to the cloud by defining all aspects of solutioning such as Data, Application, Integration, Technology, and Security.
• Design, direct and support the governance activities associated with ensuring solutions architecture assurance and compliance.
• Identify the organizational impact (skills, processes, structures, culture) and financial impact on the solutions architecture.
• Interfaces and participates in business development discussions across cross-functional teams and internal and external executive management to ensure consistency in solution development and implementation.
• Other related responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

MinimumQualifications

• Bachelor's degree, preferably in computer science, computer engineering, information technology or equivalent experience, education, or training.
• 10+ years overall experience with 5+ years of experience in Architecture.
• 4+ years of experience in architect cloud-native, hybrid, or multi-cloud solutions to meet the client's needs.
• 4+ years of experience in designing highly secure solutions that support multi tenancy.
• 3+ years of strong experience designing, executing, and supporting IT cloud solutions involving multi-tenancy.
• 3+ years of experience in cost management and billing of cloud applications and their usage.
• Experience in architecting and migrating applications from on-prem to the cloud with modernization.
• Hands-on experience to do prototypes or automate tasks and demonstrate as needed

PreferredQualifications

• Experience working in an Agile environment Self-motivated, takes initiative and endures leadership skills to seek out work and accomplish goals.
• Prefer experience with Azure or AWS.
• Azure or any cloud certifications.
• Experience in advising clients on leading cloud practices and architectural approaches.
