Work you'll do
We are seeking an enthusiastic, passionate professional for a Backend engineer with established experience with cloud services and DevOps practices such as build/release management and general automation. This role will manage overall deliverables of project hosting, engaging DevOps and IOT professionals. This role will implement and support cloud solutions and processes leveraged by a number of applications hosted in our environment. In addition, this role manages operational and technical escalations in the AWS space. Your scope is broad - implementing cloud and IOT solutions for various application architectures, scripting, database and other data services - and you easily transition between those and handle multiple projects and priorities.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure that all cloud solutions follow internally defined security and compliance controls
- Working with the Application manager on project deliverables with respect to the platform.
- Evaluate extensibility to account for newer Cloud offerings
- Manage escalated issues around build and release pipelines for both cloud and IoT solutions
- Monitor and support the deployment issues of both cloud and IoT applications via automation tools and practices
- Overseeing the service requests in your team's queue
- Lead, train and coordinate across team members.
- Champion Agile best-practices, processes, and tools in support of DevOps processes

The Platform team is the backbone of our product, it is a simple concept, but making it work is anything but easy. It involves consolidating and standardizing a wildly diverse collection of systems, processes, and functions.
Qualifications
Required:
- Minimum of 3+years of directly related experience and subject matter expertise of build and deployment automation (Continuous Integration/Delivery) experience and responsible for delivering hosting solutions in Cloud.
- Minimum of bachelor's degree in Computer Science or in related fields with a focus in CSE/IT, MCA
- Create and maintain backend API services to support both internal and external customers
- Experienced in Server Cloud Computing awareness, PaaS and IaaS configuration, scripting, AWS DevOps configuration, IoT solutions.
Preferred:
- Cloud associate-level certification
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with Cloud services
- 3+ years of build and deployment automation (Continuous Integration/Delivery) experience using industry-standard platforms (VSTS, Jenkins, Bamboo, TeamCity)
- In depth knowledge of high availability (HA) design and implementation
- Understanding of general database technologies and maintenance
- Familiarity with networking and routing technologies
- General understanding of security practices
- Enterprise-level job experience, focusing on high volume, scalability and reusability when architecting automated solutions
- General knowledge of traditional network, firewalls and load balancers
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with an ability to extract, translate and communicate meaningful information with management and peers
- Strong technical documentation skills; workflows and support documentation
Pay and Benefits Disclosure: The salary range for this role is $89,000-$134,000 and is based on experience and qualifications.
Certain roles are eligible for annual bonus and may include equity. These awards are allocated based on company and individual performance.

Employees accrue up to 120 hours in their first year. Your accrual rate increases after your first year. We also offer 6 paid holidays.
