Cloud Software Engineer - Philadelphia

We are hiring software engineers for the following teams:

• Cloud Software (Front End, Backend, Full Stack)
• DevOps
• Data Platform

You will be working on

• Designing and developing robust cloud software to power Lutron - ranging from our IoT systems to our design tools and eCommerce site and scalable data lake
• Using API-driven design to improve our connected system experience
• Building cloud infrastructure leveraging AWS, Azure, Kubernetes, Golang and C#
• Building world class applications providing an exquisite user experience
• Implementing highly responsive, distributed and secure systems
• Improving our ability to release features quickly with appropriate automation
• Looking for innovative opportunities to bring new techniques, processes, and technologies
• Keeping on top of emerging technology trends, especially related to IoT, cloud and smart home technologies

What we are looking for:

• 5 years of industry experience
• Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering or equivalent discipline
• Solid Computer Science fundamentals including data structures, object-oriented programming concepts, algorithm design and run-time analysis
• Experience with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) software development
• A passion for building world class software and driving continuous improvement through automation

Desired Skills - Cloud:

• Experience with distributed cloud services and REST APIs
• Experience designing scalable, efficient cloud-base features
• Expertise with in at least one cloud platform (Azure, AWS, Google cloud)
• Experience with automation and management tools such as Kubernetes, Infrastructure as Code (IAC), and GIT

Desired Skills - DevOps:

• Experience developing a cohesive DevOps environment and integrating tools such as Jenkins, Artifactory and SonarQube
• Experience with and passion for driving development process improvements through automation
• Experience with infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation or CDK
• Passion for staying on top of industry trends and best practices and identifying areas of opportunity

Desired Skills - Data Platform:

• Experience in Python leveraging data processing packages like Pandas and Numpy
• Proficiency using tools like Presto, Hive, and Spark for Big Data problems
• Experience developing software using AWS managed services such as S3, Glue, ECS, Lambda, Sagemaker, and Athena
• Experience with BI tools like Power BI, Tableau, or Quicksight
• Exposure to data science and machine learning concepts
