Job Description:

Parsons is hiring an experienced Cloud Software Engineer to join our team and make in impact supporting our mission-focused customers.

What You'll Do:

• Support the Data Tracking and Monitoring team that delivers a wide set of capabilities across the enterprise
• Perform various software engineering tasks to include data management, data delivery, high ingest rate cloud architectures, and analytic platforms
• Provide cloud software research, development, and engineering services
• Participate in customer solutioning to include requirements analysis, software development, installation, integration, evaluation, enhancement, sustainment, testing, validation, and issue diagnosis/resolution

Required Qualifications:

• Active TS/SCI w/ polygraph
• Minimum six (6) years of experience in software development
• Java, C, and/or C++
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or in a related technical field; additional experience will be considered in lieu of degree
• Experience developing software for UNIX/Linux OS

Desired Qualifications:

• OpenSource (NoSQL) products that support highly distributed, massively parallel computation needs such as Hbase, Acumulo, Big Table, etc.
• Map Reduce programming model and technologies such as Hadoop, Hadoop Distributed File System (HDFS), Hive, Pig, etc.
• JSON and/or BSON
• Developing Restful services
• Requirements analysis and design of at least one Object Oriented system
• Integrating and extending FOSS/COTS products
• Hadoop /Cloud Developer Certification or comparable Cloud System/Service Certification
• Data driven analytics; event driven analytics; sets of analytics orchestrated through rules engines
• Big-Data Cloud Scalability (Amazon, Google, Facebook)
• Designing and developing automated analytic software, techniques, and algorithms

Salary Range:

$110,600.00 - $199,100.00
