Overview: The Cloud Solution Engineer is responsible for facilitating solution delivery of cloud hosting services, ensuring quality execution and achievement of expected outcomes. The Cloud Hosting platform provides standard digital application delivery solutions, including Windows Server, Linux, Platform as a Service and Kubernetes, delivered on-premises as well as in the cloud. The Cloud Solution Engineer works closely with internal IT customers of Cloud Hosting services, in close alignment with Managed Services Partners (MSP). This role gathers requirements for Cloud Hosting solutions from application delivery and project teams. The Cloud Solution Engineer produces solution designs that meet the needs of our stakeholders, and then facilitates implementation of the solution. This role aligns with IT and Business leadership to understand the business unit roadmaps and ensure Infrastructure is positioned to meet requirements based on key objectives. This role is a key member of the infrastructure team, reporting to the Director of Cloud Technology.

Primary Duties:

1. Proactively engage with key IT and Business stakeholders to anticipate upcoming needs. The Cloud Solution Engineer will partner with architects, developers, engineers, and platform leaders of application and security teams to identify emerging solution needs. This role will solicit solution requirements from a broad array of stakeholders to ensure that the final product meets end-user needs.

2. Facilitate Solution Design of digital cloud hosting capabilities. Working with Clarios and MSP engineers, the Cloud Solution Engineer will identify the appropriate standard solution based on stakeholder requirements. This role will coordinate resources, prioritize efforts and track progress of design alignment and approval efforts. Solutions must be secure, follow best practices, and adhere to Enterprise Architecture guiding principles.

3. Drive execution of Cloud Hosting projects. The Cloud Solution Engineer will manage Cloud Hosting Services involvement in application, security and business projects. This role will hold the Cloud team, partners and supporting organizations accountable to deliver results.

4. Seek continuous improvement opportunities to enhance Cloud service offerings. The Cloud Solution Engineer will take input from stakeholders and assess utilization of cloud services to identify service gaps, wasted efforts and cost inefficiencies. This role will coordinate efforts to improve efficiency and reliability of services. Continuous improvement includes automation and process optimization.

Qualifications

1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or similar field.

2. Minimum of 7 years of Industry Experience, including at least 3 years of experience managing Cloud services as a project resource, hosting engineer, or operational support of the technology areas described above. Skills should include solution design, implementation and coding.

3. Proven track record developing and deploying IT solutions and services.

4. Technical proficiency with one or more key technologies and services in the area of Cloud Infrastructure. Ready to develop his/her technical and service knowledge as part of his/her management responsibilities.

5. Effective communicator with both IT technical and business customer audiences. Strong presentation and persuasion skills are essential for success in this role. Ability to work in a multinational environment with people from different cultural and professional backgrounds (IT and non-IT). In addition, possesses the ability to write effective management and project reports, marketing materials and other relevant business communication.

6. Azure experience preferred.

7. Ability to travel up to 10%.
