Role Summary
Design cloud-based storage solutions for both structured and unstructured data that comply to GDPR and CCPA standards.
Key Responsibilities

• Design cloud-based storage solutions for both structured and unstructured data.
• Recommend best practices for building secure and reliable applications.
• Identify and define which cloud-services meet a given technical requirement.
• Brainstorm for new ideas and ways to improve development and delivery.
• Monitor metrics and develop ways to improve.
• Provide detailed specifications for proposed solutions including materials, external services and internal resources required.
• Work with source control tools (Azure DevOps, GitHub).
• Actively troubleshoot any issues that arise during testing and production.
• Develop flexible architectures that enable capabilities that are leveraged across Cosma.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
• Act with honesty and integrity, and make ethical business choices in accordance with Magna's Compliance Policies and Procedures.

Key Qualifications/Requirements
Education - Required: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related field of study Education
Preferred: Master's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related field of study
Years of Experience: Eight or more (8+) years of experience in developing technology solutions, including but not limited to: operations/engineering, networking engineering, infrastructure/database architecture, and/or applications development.

• Three or more (3+) years of experience in Information Technology software development
• Two or more (2+) years of experience in microservice design or containerization
• Two or more (2+) years of experience with developing cloud-based solutions on Microsoft Azure and/or AWS
• Two or more (2+) years of experience with frameworks, architecture patterns and design patterns

Supervisory Experience: None
Licenses and Certifications: AWS Solutions Architect or Developer Associate certification
Other Skills/Experience -Required:

• Design cloud-based solutions that comply to GDPR and CCPA standards
• Broad technology experience across at least 2-3 of these areas including: cloud architecture, applications development, relational databases, NoSQL databases, analytics, machine learning, networking, security, storage, DevOps, containers, server less, CI/CD, management and monitoring, cloud migrations, IT transformation.
• Expertise with REST based Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) methods and implementation technologies such as microservices
• Experience architecting/designing solutions built on cloud
• Experience migrating or transforming legacy solutions to the cloud.
• Presentation and whiteboarding skills with a high degree of comfort speaking with internal and external executives, IT management, and technical teams.
• Outstanding and proven leadership skills in working with senior-level management helping in decision making
• Demonstrated ability to adapt to new technologies and learn quickly.
• Excellent problem-solving skills including leading problem-solving teams
• Self-researcher, ability to research a technology and provide insight to project team
• Hands on experience with AWS, Microsoft Azure, GCP and private cloud technologies
• Negotiation skills and ability to work with several and diverse set of stakeholders/customers
• Self-starter, ability to work independently but still can work within group to deliver top notch solutions
• Understanding of Infrastructure-as-a-Service, Platform-as-a-Service, Software-as-a-Service, and Function-as-a-Service models
• Understanding of the public Cloud Shared Responsibility Model
• Strong background in authentication and authorization protocols and applications such as Azure Active Directory, AWS Cognito, and OAuth 2.0.
• Current understanding of best practices regarding system security measures
• Demonstrated project development and leadership skills
• Experience with Docker containers
• Experience with multiple programming languages (ex: JavaScript, C#, Python, C++, Java)
• Ability to write code to interact with cloud native services
• Time and project management skills, with the capability to prioritize and multitask as needed
• Knowledge of different project management methodologies such as Waterfall and Agile

• Subject to business needs >25% of travel may be required.
