About the Role:

We are currently seeking a talented and experienced Senior Cloud Solutions Architect specializing in Azure to join our internal IT team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing complex cloud-based solutions on the Microsoft Azure platform. This role requires a deep understanding of Azure services, architecture principles, and best practices to create scalable, secure, and efficient cloud environments.

Your responsibilities will include:

• A broad range of technical expertise, and extensive knowledge spanning various aspects of Azure cloud such as compute, storage, networking, databases, security, and identity management.

• Working in a scrum team, with sprints and a backlog.
• Designing and documenting architecture blueprints and solution patterns for Azure-based applications.
• Providing technical guidance and mentorship to other members of the cross functional scrum team.
• Experience building out closed loop data driven DevOps supporting architectures that utilize tools like azure insights to capture key metrics and pipe them back to different stakeholders to provide real time feedback on factors impacting themes like, security, scalability, performance, etc.
• Experience in building out hierarchical organization governance via “Management groups” in Azure.
• Solid experience with code driven administration practices. E.g. legacy native azure PowerShell modules and more recently the MgGraph modules backed by source control (git repo) to automate common operations.
• Strong Base level competencies is core web technologies and computer fundamentals, TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, PKI, etc.
• Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC), continuous integration, continuous delivery (CI/CD), source control (Git), pipeline automation (Github Actions / Azure DevOps).
• Modern Authentication in relation to IdP (AzureAD / EntraID), SAML and OpenID Connect, AzureAD B2C.
• General IaM architecture experience building standards that support RBAC and maintain the IdP (EntraID) as the centralized command and control point in an organization.
