Cloud Solutions Architect - Pune India

The Cloud Services Engineering Lead is a high-impact leadership role at PRECISIONxtract reporting directly to the Country Head of Precision Medicine Group, India. In this senior position, you are responsible for shaping the technology strategy for the development of products and platforms, requiring a high level of collaboration with product and operations leadership teams.   

You will:

• Create road maps and for prioritization 
• Evaluate new technologies and how they incorporate into the bigger picture 
• Lead the team in moving from ideation to execution for new projects  
• Be fluent with SQL, data warehousing, data analysis and have experience with cloud based technology 

Essential functions of the job include but are not limited to: 

• Direct, develop and manage talent across the team 
• Identify learning gaps and ensure that the team is prepared to deliver on required deliverables
• Conduct technology reviews and create a framework for how Xtract code and technologies can work efficiently across service lines 
• Navigate and streamline the Precision technology legacy systems and advise on best next steps 
• Develop relationships with existing vendors and create new relationships to ensure full execution of the technology framework 
• Analyze the data/processes and lead QC/QA of code repository

Qualifications 

• BA Software Engineering or equivalent 
• Minimum 10 years’ experience designing and reviewing complex software ecosystems with focus on data analysis systems including data warehousing, reporting, and strategic analytics (Required) 
• 2+ years (define extensive) experience with cloud-based infrastructure (AWS, Azure, et al.), cloud database management (e.g. Redshift, Snowflake, Databricks) (Required) 
• Familiarity with big data technologies including Apache Spark and Apache Cassandra 
• 6+ years as a Systems Architect 
• Minimum 5 years managing a team of engineers (3-5 people minimum) 
• Experience in Life Sciences 
• Experience leading technical discussions such as technology reviews 
• Experience working in an onshore-offshore model  

Preferred Qualifications: 

• Masters, Software Engineering  
• Experience mentoring and providing growth opportunities for engineers 
• Experience in change management while consolidating tech stacks 
• Experience with the US Healthcare system and its key data sources.  Experience with US Pharmaceutical Commercialization including Market Access or Commercial Operations
