CereCore is seeking a Cloud Streaming Engineer/Kafka to join our team in Nashville, TN. This individual will work at one of the nation's leading providers of healthcare services, HCA Healthcare.

Overview:
The Cloud Streaming Engineer will work directly to advance the data platform and data engineering vision of Accelerated Technologies. The role is a key hands-on keyboards contributor to all HCA Intelligence Net data deliverables, will drive platform modernization to the cloud, and will engineer platforms for automation, repeatability, and immediate and future needs of the business. Responsible for support, growing, and evolving Data Platforms and Services that enable critical healthcare applications for on-prem and GCP cloud environments

This team is responsible for building data platforms across the enterprise that our developers can use. We build out cloud services, help manage, on-board and support the cloud platforms developers use. Primarily in GCP, so candidates must have GCP experience with data - BitQuery, DataFlow, PubSub, BitTable, and today we deploy those services using Terraform. Infrastructure as Code to configure and deploy services is another skill candidates must have. After we deploy, we manage - full monitoring and alerting, performance. Also build out DevOps for our teams such as CI/CD capabilities for our teams. Need someone that has experience doing this at a large scale - There are hundreds of products building off the services we provide. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting, growing, and evolving Streaming Services using Apache Kafka that enable critical healthcare applications across Google cloud environments

Responsibilities:

Experience in building, deploying, and managing Kafka Cloud services in GCP using Confluent Platform or other IaaS Solutions (or equivalent Cloud AWS, Azure)
Experience with Confluent's Kafka Products and Platforms
Experience with the Kafka Ecosystem of Tools: Rest Proxy, Schema Registry, Kafka Connect, KSQL.
Experience with Agile methodologies and scrum development
Experience with Github Development or other Version Control System
Experiencing working in a Product focused mindset
Understanding of Data Mesh principals
Understanding of SRE Principals and how to apply
Experience with devops tool chain: CI/CD, IAC (Infrastructure as Code), Monitoring, Package Management, Version Control
Experience with restful APIs
Experience with Hashicorp Terraform to build and deploy in Cloud environments
Experience with support large software systems or platforms providing service, products, and value to its users
Hands-on experience in troubleshooting problems for mission-critical applications and services
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work with diverse and distributed product teams in an agile environment
Experience supporting critical applications in the Cloud, preferably in GCP
Proficient in one or more programming and/or scripting languages: java, scala, python, bash, C#
