Cloud Systems Engineer III with Tyler Technologies, Inc. (Position allows for 100% remote work and reports to the company headquarters in Plano, TX).

Duties: The Cloud Systems Engineer III handles the design, migration/implementation of cloud-based software systems infrastructure for NIC's centrally managed and portal software applications. This includes deploying, monitoring, and maintaining high-availability SaaS, IaaS, and PaaS solutions hosted in either AWS or Azure cloud. Create standardized templates using orchestrators such as Terraform or Cloud Formation. Continues to assist all team members with deployments and support infrastructure and network systems. This position supports multiple agile teams that are responsible for delivering quality solutions and supporting those solutions through the SDLC change process and into production. Identify and share "best practices" as appropriate and implement and support Disaster Recovery solutions. The Cloud Engineer is also responsible for helping to set cloud standards and best practices as the company expands its cloud presence. Position allows for 100% remote work and reports to the company headquarters in Plano, TX.

Requirements: Requires a Master's or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer and Information Sciences, Computer Engineering, or closely related field. Position requires progressive post-Bachelor's experience (3 years with Master's, 5 years with Bachelor's), which must include at least some experience in each of the following skills: AWS services (EC2, RDS, S3, VPC, IAM, Elastic Beanstalk, API Gateway, Lambda, Batch, Elastic Container Service, Route53 and CloudFront); Azure services (App Services, Virtual Machine Scale Sets, Functions, Virtual Network, Application Gateway, and App Insights); Fundamental network knowledge (TCP/IP, routing, subnetting, OSI model); Linux & Windows servers system administration; Programming and scripting languages to maintain infrastructure as code in Terraform, PowerShell, Python and CloudFormation; Reviewing and ensuring security against cybersecurity threats in Cloud; Involved in Patching, Active Directory Docker and Kubernetes; Configuration management code (Puppet, Chef, Ansible, Salt); Created CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, AWS Code Pipeline, Azure DevOps tools; Participated in SDLC including design, development, testing, and implementation using C# .Net, SQL Server, JavaScript, SSRS and HTML; Analyze, participate, review the requirements, create and assist in performing various types of tests and code review; and Ticketing tools (Jira, ServiceNow).
