Cloud Technical Subject Matter Expert

Introduction
At IBM Technical Solution Architects work to understand needs and then create complex high-quality solutions that make meaningful impact. You’ll be responsible for overall leadership and delivery of the solutions from requirement gathering through implementation. You’ll use your in-depth knowledge of leading-edge products and technologies along with industry and business skills to influence outcomes.

Your Role and Responsibilities
This technical role is focused on providing subject matter expertise on key IBM Cloud focused technologies to assist in architecting first-class IBM Cloud technical solutions on complex pre & post-sale opportunities including client critical situations and onboarding acceleration.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• Architect level certification in at least one hyperscaler (IBM Cloud AWS Azure GCP) and strong knowledge and experience of hybrid cloud design & solutioning in IBM Cloud or another hyperscaler.
• Strong archtectural design background and experience and cloud delivery experience including hands on.
• Experience in customer facing interaction with architecture and technical teams.
• Deep technical knowledge and experience in one of the following areas:
  Cloud Networking PowerVS Cloud Security SAP Application Modernization Regulated workloads for example Financial Services Data & AI/Watsonx HPC or Delivery/Integration Architecture
• Self-Starter who is a fast learner of technology and willing to experiment to find the best solutions

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science Software Engineering or equivalent
• Knowledge of one or more of the following: VMWare Red Hat OpenShift Power Virtual Server Ansible Teraform
• Knowledge of Cloud Networking Cloud Security & Compliance Non functional requirements such as Backup DR etc
