Role Summary

The Cloud Transformation Subject Matter Expert (SME) at Steel Point Solutions is responsible for leading and executing cloud migration and modernization strategies for clients. This role focuses on the transformation of IT infrastructure, applications, and services to cloud environments, ensuring alignment with business goals, scalability, and security. The SME will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, security, and business stakeholders, to deliver cloud solutions that drive operational

Key Responsibilities

• Cloud Strategy Development: Design and implement comprehensive cloud transformation strategies that align with client business objectives, focusing on cost optimization, scalability, and resilience.
• Cloud Architecture Design: Develop and oversee cloud architectures, including infrastructure, applications, and data, ensuring secure and efficient deployment on cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
• Migration Planning & Execution: Lead cloud migration projects, ensuring the seamless transition of on-premises systems to cloud environments, minimizing downtime and disruption.
• Cloud Security & Compliance: Implement cloud security best practices and ensure compliance with relevant regulations, maintaining the integrity and confidentiality of client data.
• Automation & Optimization: Drive the automation of cloud operations, optimizing performance, reducing costs, and enhancing the scalability of cloud environments.
• Vendor Management: Collaborate with cloud service providers and third-party vendors to negotiate contracts, manage relationships, and ensure that services meet performance expectations.
• Change Management: Develop and lead change management efforts to ensure successful adoption of cloud technologies across client organizations.
• Client Collaboration: Work closely with clients to understand their unique needs, providing expert guidance and customized cloud solutions that deliver measurable business outcomes.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in IT, with a focus on cloud transformation, architecture, and migration.
• 8 + years of experience leading cloud transformation projects in complex environments is essential.
• Deep expertise in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and cloud-native technologies, including containers (e.g., Kubernetes, Docker), serverless computing, and DevOps practices.
• Relevant cloud certifications, such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or Google Cloud Certified Professional Cloud Architect.
